Kudos for a catchy name.

Not so impressed with their tactics.

http://tyreextinguishers.com/

Letting down tyres is pretty ‘power to the people’ stuff but it either creates less safe vehicles as a result if sidewall damage or more pollution in the case of replacing the tyres prematurely.

I absolutely get the message, but then they target EV’s as well.
Anything SUV shaped.

Glad I live rurally.

How to spot a SUV lol

http://tyreextinguishers.com/how-to-spot-an-suv

What if they are hybrid or electric tho ?

Plus they are not necessarily worse polluters than regular cars ?

Imagine some juiced dude coming out of a gym to his ranger or hilux , and seeing tarquin or quinoa letting their tyres down….

The joke would be on them if they tried it because I keep an electric mini compressor in my boot. But what happens if the evil SUV owner needs his or her car in hurry, family emergency or whatever? Clowns like this give the whole ecological movement a bad name and need to be stopped, although that's likely to be pie in the sky with the post-austerity police force.

Their actions also have the potential to be dangerous, despite the rather arrogant assurances to the contrary on the website: there's every possibility that they might damage a valve or start the deflation process and forget or otherwise fail to put the warning leaflet under the wiper, leading to the chance of a car being driven whilst leaking air.

These things may have to make a comeback

The fact that they have to explain how to remove the dust cap pretty much tells you the kind of retards this is by and for. That said, if any of them can get the aluminium caps off the steel valves that VW saw fit to make standard on my Touareg I'd be very grateful.

“Target posh/middle class areas” - so as usual it’s the politics of envy from the great unwashed.

If they got off their high horses and focused as much attention on getting proper jobs, they would probably earn more, be less bitter and indulge in less of this sort of nonsense.

Well my Cayenne has air suspension, which has a takeoff point for inflating the tyres. So I would just pump them back up. The funny thing about this is that it means I would leave the V8 engine running for longer whilst tyres are inflated, so these idiots would be causing extra pollution.

And undoubtedly middle class or upper middle themselves. Just as those insulate Britain people were

Probably because they know they'd get battered if they tried it on a council estate.

Tyres are the most important primary safety feature on a car. Even more important than brakes, if your tyres are rubbish the best brakes in the world won't help you.
Messing w tyres is putting lives at risk.

This won’t end well.

Can’t be long before they are caught in the act…wouldn’t surprise me if they choose the ‘wrong’ person’s car and get their head kicked in before they can even get up from deflating the tyres.

Alternatively, somebody is going to die trying to drive home on deflated tyres, or get raped/murdered because they had to walk home late at night because their car had been sabotaged.

There’s not even any logic to it; deflating the tyres on a Nissan Juke but not a V8 Mustang (not that I’m condoning either) banghead

Idiots.

I'm actually surprised they haven't started targeting sports cars (or rather, anything that looks like a sports car to a non-car person) yet.

The demonstration video seems to feature an elderly Vauxhall Astra. Presumably they aren’t against parking on double yellow lines either.

Thank heavens I drive an estate.

Hopefully they'll be on the receiving end of a bit of direct action themselves pretty quickly.

I look forward to the outpouring of well earned sympathy when one of these cretins gets caught in the act by someone who is neither posh nor middle class.
