The damage he’s done to education cannot be overstated.

Absolutely ridiculous. Rewarded for failure. Next thing they'll be giving Chris Grayling a peerage.

Christ alive, you don't have to make stuff up anymore! rolleyes

Mind you, the world has gone mad recently.

Didn't useless Williamson have a pet tarantula in his office when May was PM? Before she gave him the bullet.

Naaaah, peerages for the boys..... probably part of his good bye handshake.... once the dust had settled on his train wreck of a tenure.

For balance, can you name an Education Secretary the profession has welcomed with open arms, and seen go with a tear in your eye over the last 40 years? biggrin

Perhaps Gavin stood up and said "I didn't go to the Christmas party because we were in lockdown and I felt it was right to follow this guildeline which we have set"

Boris replies "jeez, you have really high moral standards, you deserve a knighthood!"

FFS! If I had known that you had to be sacked from 2 really important jobs as part of the qualifying criteria for a knighthood, I would have been a bigger ahole during my working life. Never being sacked in 42 years of working, where did I go wrong?

No, but pretty much every single one prior to him has been an order of magnitude more competent/less damaging.

If you want to be knighted, you just need to know where all the skeletons are buried. Arise Sir Gavin.

I had a front row seat for the considerable damage he did to a significant number of kids.

He can go fk himself.
