There's an enormous difference between doing 200+mph on a road where other drivers have reason to expect people to be doing that sort of speed, and doing 140 on a road where no-one expects any other cars to be doing more than about 90. Doing 140mph on a British motorway if there are any other vehicles around is utterly moronic.
