I came across this on Twitter today, is this just a bunch of conspiracy theories, or is ‘vaxinjured’ really a thing?

Not anti vax and had both jabs, albeit with more than a degree of trepidation, so this seems a little concerning

Of course we know there are some risks associated with the vaccine.

We also know that people get I'll at random times...

Who's validating the stories?

I could setup god knows how many Twitter accounts and go on there and just make the same thing up over and over again.

BOOM! Vaccines make your cock drop off.

We should also raise awareness of people experiencing problems shortly after not having a vaccine.

I had my vaccines in May, July and December, but did ride my bike into a tree immediately after not having one in October.

Who should I write to?

I had my booster jab at the beginning of December. I've now got an eye infection. Clearly they're linked. Who do I sue?

Git my booster last Monday and by the end of the week one of pipes sprung a leak.

Coincidence? I think not.

Big pharma in league with plumbers? We’re through the looking glass here, people.

And correlation does not equal causation.

The irony with some of these comments comes when you consider what has been classed as a death from covid throughout this pandemic.

The best one was the panic that was whipped up in Auckland a couple of months back when they reported their first daily covid death for a while. "An additional death in Auckland has today been added to the national Covid-19 figures," the New Zealand Ministry of Health said. " PANIC everywhere. Only it turned out he'd died in a shootout and they tested the corpse for covid a little while after. Still, covid death. laugh

Recording any death within 28 days of receiving a vaccine as a vaccine induced death would lead to some wacky misleading statistics but when it's covid it seems people are happy to accept it

And anyone that does 29 days after a first positive Covid test isn't a Covid death too...

Last time I read about this there were +/-70 blood clots from over 21 million doses of the AZ vaccine.

More chance of being hit by lightning.

I read an unsubstantiated facebook rumour about the AZ vaccine turning you into a sex god and rendering your emissions tasty, calorie-free and exfoliating. Seems legit. scratchchin

Nope it's 70 or so people who died from the AZN associated ViTT clots. Case fatality rate was ~17% so figure around 5-6x that number of people who did get those adverse reactions and it was also quite heavily slanted towards people who were age < 50.

So for quite a good number of people, it most certainly wasnt more chance of being hit by lightning. Still, correlation isn't causation and tough luck for those huh?

They are recorded like that for good reason. The methodology for both is statistically sound. Of course they fall apart if you look at tiny sample numbers like NZ, as does any statistical model. In the U.K. it works absolutely fine as a statistical model. Actual cause of death is recorded and compiled later, but takes much longer, so is of no use for reporting and decision making.

Just because you don’t understand it doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
