Same as it always has really Personally it’s a right of passage . My sons a week old an he’s already got a bank account with savings for his first car clever these new borns ( mothers financial advice )

Not as much as it was for sure.
Younger folk nowadays put less importance on personal transport. They all have public transport apps they sort out their journeys for them.

Only if they live in a city or big town.

No useable public transport near me (Surrey /Hampshire borders) or my sister (Northamptonshire), certainly not a couple of mates in the Borders.
