Darwinism at its best, even most of his ilk would have thought twice before doing this, riding his no doubt stolen bike with a 3 year old on the petrol tank.

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/biker-filmed-riding-boy-p...

Shocking footage of an off-road biker racing through Manchester with a three-year-old boy perched on the petrol tank has been released by police.

Ryan Ward, 23, was caught on a police helicopter camera riding the bike along busy streets with his young son - both without helmets.

He was also seen riding onto pavements and performing wheelies during the 16-minute journey.

PC Andy Moore, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "Ward was riding without regard for himself but more importantly the public and his young son.

"He showed a blatant disregard for the rules of the road and has rightly been sentenced for his foolish and reckless actions."

Ward was arrested as he pushed his bike along the road after dropping off his son.

Neighbourhood Inspector Ruth Bradley-Holt said: "Off-road motorbikes are a real nuisance to the police and local residents.

"Ward broke the law by riding an off-road bike in a public place but, to compound matters, the manner of his driving was appalling and he put the local community and even his own child at risk.

"We work very hard to address the concerns of local residents and that includes clamping down hard on those who misuse off road bikes and just last week we seized three vehicles that were being used illegally."

Ward, of Blackley, Manchester, has admitted charges of dangerous driving and child cruelty following the incident on June 5 last year.

He will be sentenced on November 22.

Lucky they didnt have the police chopper over us when we were kids in the paddock basher. My dad would be put against the wall and shot.

No they aren't

Motorbikes don't annoy anyone

The tts using them annoy people not the bikes.

I'm utterly sick of this attitude

A moron was using {insert object name here} and was causing annoyance and danger to the general public so we are going to ban {insert object name here}

Well i own {insert object name here} and don't annoy folk with it so can we please ban morons.

As to the retard on the bike its a pity he did remove his genes from the genepool. As the genepool needs some chlorine

Looks like he was riding like a bit of a muppet, and is lucky he didn't get hurt (or hurt his son).

But can we really say that our parents didn't do things which might be considered dangerous in these cotton wool days?

The sentence will be harsh because it wasn't just his life he was risking. He had his little lad with him. Rather like the chap who was prosecuted for riding ton-up in the rain, with his son on the back. (Even though it was an open, straight piece of road).

...err, no, never smile

...as for the chap in the video, it's hardly a quick potter round a field on the old man's bike is it.

He is also being prosecuted for illegal possession of a shotgun.

When, in the past, would what he did be regarded as no big deal?

"Child cruelty" WTF? Child cruelty is locking it in the basement and feeding it spiders, not taking it out for a spin in the fresh air.

Reckless endangerment more like.

I've cycled the wife's pushbike around (off the public road) with a 4 y/o in the front basket and a 6 y/o on my shoulders. Should I have been prosecuted for cruelty too?

Is that even an offence in this country?

Big difference between pottering around a field and riding around on the highway like this tit was, the helicopter also caught him doing a wheelie. I'm the first to moan about society being risk-averse but this guy is nothing but a scrote.

Shouldn't he also be prosecuted for not wearing a helmet?

I agree about the cruelty issue though.

Do you do 30mph on the back wheel?

Not unless the one on my shoulders leans back too far.

btw, I have been told that "endangerment" (without the "reckless") is an offence in Irish law, so it probably is in English law too.

To be honest, I don't see that as child cruelty. Cavalier yes, but I reckon I'd have loved it when I was 3, and although a very real risk, I've seen worse.

Just about every single person in Thailand is ridden around on motorbikes from birth, and despite it having a relatively high death toll, there's still plenty of people who survive.
