On strike today apparently, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-14152...

That meant that Nicky Campbell was not on Radio 5 this morning and was replaced by Julia Bradberry, so if Nicky Campbell is a "journalist" can I vote that they strike every day!

R4 Today programme didn't start until 0700 instead of 0600. I turned on at 0630 and got a re-run of a Reith lecture.

So I turned over to one of their commercial competitors instead.

I did wonder why Breakfast looked like News 24 this morning. I remember it happening some months ago.

I guess they are no better than teachers then. smile

It does rather amuse me that journalists think the country will either notice or care if they go on strike or not.

Journalists provide amusement and distraction from reality, nothing more, nothing less. They are not reality themselves.

Have you noticed how the regular 'anchor pair' are rarely to be seen on a Friday?

Looong weekends.

Lazy, f'cking bourgeois leaches.

Still, at least Frank's bird was on ITV. Yowza.

They split the week four days and three IIRC, since they have to do seven days of Breakfast. The Saturday and Sunday shows are a bit longer too I think.
