anyone else thinking compressed air or similar?
Nasty things inflating tyres.....
5 people though? Nasty things inflating tyres.....
i know you have to be careful when inflating tyres, but for car tyres at least i would have thought you have to be pretty nearby to really get hurt?
possibly a gas bottle exploded? oxy/acetelyne is potent stuff

But luckily for those involved the police have confirmed that it was one of the rarer quick explosions.

A Lincolnshire Police spokeswoman said she believed the explosion had been very quick and the men died instantly.
There are all sorts of little industrial units down there (many of them automotive), with a largish scrapper at the end of the lane. Many years ago, one of the scrapper's owners blew himself up when applying a welder to a petrol tank, having neglected to check the contents.
Could be anything, mind.
