Just been watching the live coverage of the hacking scam and it has to be said it makes interesting viewing when switching between BBC and SKY news.

The BBC as one would expect puts an unbiased view that News Int and NoW have attempted to cover up its actions, however, Sky news has barely even mentioned the names ‘News International’ and ‘News of World’ simply talking of ‘possible’ hacks and unbiased Labour politicians!

I have to say Sky seem to be offering a somewhat patronising view on what has to be damning accusations against their owners, their future actions and their integrity overall.

Is anybody watching Sky news expecting a serious and unbiased report?

And I never thought I'd be pleased at the litigous nature of Septics: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/phone-hacki...

Murdoch has always known that there were lots of people weaker than him who wanted revenge, but I'm wondering whether he forsaw them all beginning to work in conjunction.

All these tabloids and 'news' outlets are sick and evil and I have to say that I am enjoying watching them squirm. The only sad fact lies in knowing that the feeble monkies who buy his tat will still desperately need their fix of bile filled hatred and scabby stories so others will fill their boots.

For the more right leaning Pistonheaders, take (small) comfort in the fact that Johann Hari has been 'suspended by Independent', pending an investigation....

Isn't Sky News supposed to be separated from the Murdoch empire?
Or was that part of the future package deal when he was to take 100% ownership of Sky?

That was for the future, but Murdoch dropped that plan yesterday.

Hmmm, just switched over to Sky News and they are going to town on the story, on News Corp right now, and the implications etc.

Meanwhile the economic collapse of half of Europe is mentioned briefly before the weather, and a filler about an aardvark crossing in Kent. It's been lovely moving somewhere that doesn't have it's news channels obsessed with celebrity tat so much.

Do people really actually really, honestly actually watch 'Sky News'?

I really cannot fathom that at all. I ask why? Just why?

It's not news in any sense of the word. Gossip and propaganda maybe, but please tell me it's not news. The same stoopid stories rolling over every 15 minutes. Why? Just why would you bother watching it?

There are some really good news channels to watch and I'd put Russia Today at the top of the list, followed by Al Jazeera and then France 24.

Sky News = Utter bks.

Is that the same Russia today that will run a news story on evil NATO bombing Libya and Afghanistan followed by how their poor soldier are defending the motherland against criminals in Chechnya? Or perhaps will show a protest with five people in parliament square and present it as mass demonstrations against the government?

Anyhow back to the OP, Sky have been like a dog with a bone over this for the past few months and for the most part the only channel covering it.

Yep... That's it. Fantastic isn't it!

As Chris Morris once said 'HERE IS THE NEWS......!'

And if anything was just about relevant now I'd say this just about sums it all up

In summary then "Oh no".

I just got in from Tesco. Their copies' front page was about Winky and his accusations. No Beckham in sight...
