One verbal complaint is all it takes for a ban these days. It's just lucky that the noise man at the council likes the noise of a Spitfire. Daily Mail letting the facts get in the way again?

This enrages me beyond belief.
A) It's a fantastic sound, those who disagree are wholly wrong and frankly heathen idiots.
B) It's a brilliant reminder of our heritage and to those who laid down their lives in order to protect us and our country.
Its akin to the absolute twunts who live near Goodwood, then complain about the noise, I honestly can't comprehend why you wouldn't want it flying, I'm sure they are even considerate with the times and days on which the aircraft is flown.
