How much is 'UK plc' owed in debt/loans?

Does anyone know what the country is owed total by foreign markets/countries etc?

We talk a lot about our outstanding debts and liabilities, but not about loans we have made.

You might want to construct your question in a more meaningful way.
In that it depends upon what you mean by "the country".

UK Government (All those loans to 3rd World countries that we should write off - Welll that is what Bono says lol!)

UK banks - the bonds they hold of other countries debt; Greece etc.


For example I know we hold a great deal of US debt.



Are we net owed more than our future total debts/liabilities? That would be nice!
