Good on him I say! Why should the ward stop for those two clowns? Surely there are sick people on that ward that didn't need cameras pointing at them.

Sorry, but I smell a rat with this. How many PR stunts in hospitals did labour do? I wonder if Guido Fawkes will 'out' someone who is actually not a doctor but an activist of some kind - or maybe not....

Did Cameron start to say: 'Don't speak to me like that'?

Unless I have got the wrong end of teh stick from that short clip, his complaint seemed to be blokes in suits when there is a bare below the elbows policy. Not them causing problems on the ward.

I.e i have to wear short sleaves and Im really pissed of about being told what to do. Im the important one here.

He has a point of course but was it really worth that outburst? Patients visitors are not made to to adhere to teh bare below the elbow policy

I still see many doctors not adhereing to the bare below the elbows policy. Most wear watches and I can count on one hand how many I have seen use the gel and they are in direct contact with patients not stading behind a camera.

I often see surgical staff in canteens still wearing greens. That is also supposed to be against the rules. Does he go off like that on other doctors, theatre nurses etc etc????

From what I heard, Cameron, and that other lad that goes round with him sometimes had their sleeves rolled up, but the rest of the camera crew didn't.

A sister was asked before, and the rolled up sleeves bit was mentioned to anyone in close contact, but those who would not be going near patients were OK.

Dickie Bow's argument seemed to be a whiny "How come you lot get away without doing it, and I always get told off" angle.

Kind of, I dont think he was bitter about it - just pointing out that it was policy, so either comply or GTFO.

Its certainly possible that he had told them about it before they walked in because from what it looks like at the start of the recording he is following the camermen in, possibly after telling them not to go in without sleeves up before, hence he is fired up by the time he is telling them to get out.

Exactly; He obviously has a bee in his bonnet about other people telling him what to do with regards to uniform, he chose this opportunity to show off to the world about it. He strikes me as the old fashioned sort of doctor whose always in the right and bullies other staff and patients alike, seems thoroughly unprofessional behaviour and piss poor judgement to show himself up like that.

He should of taken them to one side and asked them politely.

He should not of raised his voice at all.
Not nice for the patients and unprofessional.

I smell a rat.

He's described as a "Hip Replacement Specialist".

As such, he should have moon-walked in there..backwards...thrown a couple of shapes, then dissed them jive talkin' Tory-boy coalition-bunnies for they disrespeck, blood, before moon-walking back out again and carrying on with being a Specialist at Replacement.

Rather than being a squeaky little attention-whoring spacker.

Great comments

A wildly sweeping exaggeration.
A little while back I was treated by a plastic surgeon who works at East Grinstead, here in Sussex. Unassuming, gentle, kind and a genius at what he does (he removed a BBC from my nose and did a beautiful job on it).
His particular speciality is pain relief, and he'd developed a unique method of anaesthising the end of the nose (unusually sensitive to injections!)
I didn't feel a thing.
A nicer, cleverer man you couldn't hope to meet.
AND he only works for the NHS.

That post is nothing without a before and after photograph.

I would assume this is just the endgame of an argument that started some time before.

I used to work under the assumption that hospitals were for treating people who are sick and injured and not for political posturing. Cameron is not well supported in the NHS yet there he is, using someone's sickness as a cynical backdrop to his electioneering.

What's not to hate?

Problem with that is he's bound to be upstaged by the Ultrasound guy.

Why film in a ward at all?
It adds nothing to our knowledge of the issue, and most of us know what the inside of a hospital looks like.
