I've never really liked this fellow. He seems to find it really hard to hide his New Labour supporting bias. But this morning he hit an all time low IMHO. Interviews Government bod regarding the new support packages and long term schemes designed to help people back into work. Suitably critical and sceptical during this, so no complaints there. Then, he interviews Liam Byrne and a CEO from one of the organisations being tasked to help deliver the new aid services. Having failed utterly to get the CEO to look like anything other than genuine, and the new scheme anything other than a pretty good idea, he then turns to his Labour chum and says - " Well this is just a development of New Labour idea isn't it?" And then he says it again. and again..
Cue Byrne saying "oh, yes of course it is Nicky. Only difference is we'd have spent even more on it by taxing bankers bonuses again etc etc etc"

The new scheme is just like the old one, but a bit more outsourced and will be a bit less successful. The old one was poor this one is worse.

Campbell was one of the reasons I was happy to leave the UK. I got sick of being forced to pay the wages of him and his Labour pandering colleague Victoria Derbyshire via the compulsory tax that is the licence fee. Come the revolution they'd be in the first group up against the wall. Utter champagne socialist scum.

During the many utterly biased and one sided phone ins they had during the Iraq war they went to a caller called "Muhammad" from Preston. Caller came on and said "actually Nicky (or could have been Victoria) my name's Steve but I've been trying to get on these phone ins for weeks to support the action in Iraq and can never get on so I said my name was Muhammed and I was against bthe war. Amazingly they got me straight on".

I heard that call, he'd tried 4 times that morning and been refused, got straight through with the name change. Derbyshire flannelled a load of nonsense about it being impossible.

His head is out of all proportion to his body. And, for that reason, I refuse to listen to the man's shows.

Ignore what him and his Labour loveing riends say and listen to what the great British public say when they phone in - that's the interesting stuff.

R5 is good for this - had some women on yesterday who hadn't had a job since 2008 - a teacher ... apparently sends off 10-15 CVs a week and has two interviews in all this time ... I got fed up shouiting at the radio - perhaps you're not very good love.

Someone had texted in during her call and said about suply teaching - yes she saaid, I did a bit of thatbut I then needed to get an updated CRB check - £40 - I couldn't afford it so I didn't get it done. fk off. If it costs £40 to keep getting the (lucrative) supply teaching stuff then we'd all beg or borrow the money ffs.

If people try and help themselves, I'll help them as well, but if they won't, then fk 'em

One of the ones I did enjoy was 2 or 3 years ago when they had that family of grossly overweight slobs on, mother, father and 2 lard arsed daughters in their early 20's. All on benefits / disability etc.. and the youngest daughter was complaining that nobody would employ her and it was all so unfair etc.. They had been in the NOTW or some other rag and felt they had been misrepresented as lazy scroungers. Derbyshire was sympathetic of course and bemoaning the bias against them and other equally gut bellied bloaters and how awful it was that nobody would give her an opportunity.

Anyway a guy calls in and says he will guarantee to get the daughter a job. He owned a retail security business and would employ her in a job monitoring CCTV. Of course he's back on a week later and the lard arsed bint has turned down the job, preferring to stay at home feeding her face and sponging off the state. It basically made Derbyshire and the other bleeding hearts look dumb but I doubt she even had the good grace to blush, let alone apologise to the listeners for having to endure the disingenuous bleatings of the family pork.

Victoria Derbyshire is a fking . I stopped listening to 5Live altogether apart from commentary after they kept her on in the mornings. Aside from the (obvious) prejudicial bias she introduces into almost every single debate, she continually commits the biggest sin of any interview and fails to listen to answers in response to her questions.

If she was my dog I'd have had it shot and donated it to the glue factory many moons ago.

She must be really ste if she can't get a job in teaching after so much effort. Oh and every supply agency SWMBO signed up to between jobs funded the CRB for her so unless that has changed where is the problem? Even £40 to get 2 days work @ c£120 a day every week is a worthwhile investment unless you are a thick lazy .
