Labour now 98% funded by the unions
Discussion
I know that they have always been funded by union scum, but 98%! Even winky managed to get over 40% of funding from people with more money than sense
Apparently the largest single donor last year was Alistair Campbell, with a whopping donation of £10k . . . . . .
How long can labour survive before they become another statistic in the "things f
ked up by labour" list?

A good point and a very danming indictment of why they're not fit for leadership.
ked up by labour" list?Of course both parties in the current coalition have a vested political interest in breaking the unions, aside from the economic monopoly of labour issue. If there are significant strikes, especially around the olympics, this will blow up in the faces of the unions.
Says 87% in the article not 98%
To balance up , where does the majority of the funding for the Conservative party come from?

So we have one party in the pockets of Unions and one in the pockets of big city financiers. Both as bad as each other if you ask me.

The con artist Winky McF*cknut managed to give the unions £14 million of government money, apparently for "union education", which promptly was fed back to a bankrupt Labour Party to the tune of £8 million...Apparently the largest single donor last year was Alistair Campbell, with a whopping donation of £10k . . . . . .

I read the article thanks, 2% were individual donations that doesn't make 98% union donations.

READ the article to the end!!!quote: Altogether, individuals donated less than £60,000, just 2 per cent of the party’s total income. endquote
So 98% came from the unions and perhaps one deluded company owner

Bureau said:
The City’s contibution to the Conservative Party has more than doubled since David Cameron became its leader.
The latest research from the Bureau details for the first time the full extent of Square Mile donations given to the Tories. It reveals that the percentage of donations from companies and individuals connected to the financial services industry has now reached more than half.
Last year City money made up 50.8% of all Conservative Party donations, a leap from 25% five years previously, when Cameron and Osborne took over the helm.
The City has donated a total of £42.76m since 2005. Last year City money accounted for £11.4m, compared with £2.75m when Cameron took over.
The revelation comes as the Chancellor’s move to increase a levy on banks was criticised for being inadequate.
This does seem to be a massive conflict of interest for the rich man's party. Quite shocking how much influence Big Finance has over the government, particularly when the government is meant to be curbing the activities of the financial sector. Or not, as it turns out.The latest research from the Bureau details for the first time the full extent of Square Mile donations given to the Tories. Party financing needs a complete reform to stop this happening.

So is that more or less what Cameron gave to Vodaphone in a "tax rebate"?In ANY democracy that would have been/Should be classed as fraud and treated as such!!!
There's the £200k that Louis Moore, and American, donated to Cameron's election campaign. That's the bloke in charge of Moore Capital, fined £25m for market manipulation and who is in the middle of another legal battle described as deceitful and fraudauletn conduct - that - victimised AIG. And isn't Cameron on first name terms with some bird high up in some media company that almost, but not quite, got the ok for a monopoly despite massive objections? And didn't this company provide some form of support for the Conservatives?
They are all at it. You can't pick out one without mentioning the other. Indeed, Labour is suffering because it can't milk the money rich people from all over the world.
0.13% of the general poplulation is in prison.
0.61% of the members of the last HoCommons is in prison.
Says a lot about MPs. Further Harris, a chap from Nothants, is serving 15 months for £54,000 benefit fraud. David Laws (former cabinet minister) has been excluded for 1 week from the Commons for wrongly claiming £56,000 in benefits. theya re having a laugh.

Tbh, labour or tory, big business has always run this country. At least unions have members and officials are elected, which is more democratic than having the government funded by some big corporations, but it makes no difference ultimately. Labour cut the business world far too much slack and they went and blew their (and our) brains out.Party financing needs a complete reform to stop this happening.

i heard a wonderful voting ideaYou vote as normal for the tory party as anything else is a waste apparantly
And then you get a second ballot paper where you can allocate a fiver of taxpayers money to a party.
This way you can vote for blue tie to stop red tie getting in and then you can put funding towards a party you actually agree with

EFA?
They have an hilarious cartoon. It's a drawing of a man driving a car. There's a sticker in the rear window mentioning the LibDems and on the bumper:
How's my wife driving?
I like my jokes not too subtle.
Nice bold by the way.
