I am surprised it has taken this long to deploy some choppers to sort this mess out, but it looks like we are going to start tearing the place up properly now....

Knew this would happen, when will we learn.

Before long we will have a helo down, if not us then the French, you can swat a Gazelle quite easily, then what.

They messed up going into Libya. They know it, we know it, but being a Politician they can't admit they got it wrong. They'd rather risk the lives of our servicemen.

Thing is, there was a pretty strong case for going into Libya, but it needed to be swift and incisive and basically chop the head of the snake ASAP. But, all the political paranoia as a result of the other recent military debacles has meant that we've ended up in a complete dog's breakfast where no one really has a clue what's going on, who wants what, who is fighting who etc.

What the world really needs is some politicians that are prepared to put their own principles and convictions ahead of their desire to be reelected. Take a risk, you might just find that the public agrees with you if you do things properly.
