No.

They already wanted to arrest people who were on the run in Pakistan, the Osama thing just made every tiny little detail of US/Pakistan relations into news.

Which is probably true, however the EXACT relationship/bargain is now about to be struck out in full view of the media

Nah, the Americans will just keep hunting down the terrorists. Anyone who gets in their way will be steamrollered.

My understanding is that it's been done. More than once too........ But you have to bear in mind the difference (from an American point of view) - It's a foreign country, and a country they consider slightly "backward" etc

I think 9/11 pretty much nullified any US intervention/help in western terrorism (IRA)

Perhaps you do not understand this but Americans do not compare, for example, Pakistan with the U.K. We see them as different. We see you as "civilized" and more of a true ally. Un PC? Sorry, just the truth.

Well said; we all realize that the only such just plight is that of Scottish independence.

I was in New York in 2005 for St Patricks Day and there were people in the parade carrying banners with "ENGLAND OUT OF IRELAND" and the faces of those who died for the 'cause' as 'martyrs' (those that starved themselves whose names escape me).

ETA: Bobby Sands!

If there are still 'nuts' out there in America funding various 'dissident' Irish groups then why don't we ever hear about them being arrested? I've not heard of any arrests recently.

Either the 'nuts' don't exist or the authorities do still turn a blind eye to it.

It was the same when I lived there. I used to ask them if they wanted the Scots out of Ireland as well. Of course not they would reply. Thick as pig-sh!t the lot of them (plastic paddies, not Americans in general!).

I don't think that many Brits know too much about Irish history either. In fact, they don't even know their own history.

Hawaii for Polynesians, Yanks out now!

I'm quite supportive of the Poraid fund raising events and quite happy that my donations go to help Hawaiians buy weapons and bomb making equipment from Gadaffi, to use to kill Hawaiian Police and set off bombs in pubs & clubs on the American mainland.
