Which means that year on year is becomes even more insignificant. Try multiplying 0.02 by 0.02 a few times....

So you agree that any UK government cannot be trusted to ensure human rights?
Right wing ones certainly cannot and have provided the proof.

at the end of March 2024, the number of asylum cases awaiting an initial decision (86,460 cases, relating to 118,329 people) was more than one-third (35%) lower than at the end of March 2023
So not "compounding"?

If anything, I'd say it was "reducing".
Reducing for those particular year on year figures.

And yet, still causing political issues which are not insignificant.

I will wait for him to tell me what the “something” is as he obviously knows me and my views…
Ok then. You keep your little secrets. wink

All this stuff is in the public domain

You’re the one that said I had something I wanted to do but can’t because of the ECHR.
If it’s a secret then how can you know what it is?

It’s causing political issues because people like Farage are causing them, for their own gain.

Why do you want the UK to leave it then?

Farage is obviously making the most of it - but there are real concerns that cannot just be dismissed.

It will need to be dealt with.

It's the "we must brexit to free ourselves from EU regs" argument

"So which Ines do you want rid of?"

"Not telling you!"

Ok then. Either there's a reason for wanting rid of the EHCR, which you cant/won't divulge. Or it's for sts & giggles.

We're not leaving the ECHR.

I still find it hilarious that people are banging on about it.

Rwanda isn't going to happen. Dead.

Leaving the ECHR isn't going to happen. Dead.

Sunak wasn't going to do it either. It was just talk.
The weird thing is is that if this was a policy from Labour long before those on the right got their hands on it, the cheerleaders on here for leaving the ECHR would be demanding we stay in it.

They still don’t realise that they’re being gaslit by the likes of Farage, Dacre, Braverman, et al.

Only because the right wing politicians want it that way and their supporters absorb messages without thought.

Damned right.

Imagine Corbyn saying we need to leave the ECHR so we can have our very own set of protections.

No. I think there are genuine issues. Do you think the problems will all go away now that there is a left wing government?

You and others keep saying that I want to leave the ECHR. It’s quite simple - show me where I said that.
