Can't help but think it smells a bit fraudulent / opportunistic.

He's probably playing PS5 somewhere and making a nice little earner.
Nice little earner for her, if he's dead too.
Apparently it’s to support their living costs while they look for him…

This sounds plausible but if not, this poster wants to start writing scripts...

If you read the drivel on facebook its to pay his drug debts or hers one or the other..

Shes lying like a cheap watch at any chance she gets..

Mothers convinced now hes been kidnapped rather than just got his sorry ass lost!

The facebook experts are fully invested in this one down to how many holidays this Lucy has had in the last 3 years, they ve alll decided shes now a drug runner!!

Its quite amusing to be fair.

The FB page I've joined is 'paused' for several hours now smile

Nigh on 470k members too - couple of £ donations each :|

That said I was involved in a pre-internet person search and had that been today I doubt the FB would have been much different

Why don’t people report the go fund me page if they believe it’s not legit?

I did that earlier.

No idea how they'd actually investigate it.

I expect it works like those petitions online to get the govt to look at things. The more that report it the more they will dig to see if the beneficiaries are legit I guess.

Maybe when they find the lad, they might find the missing full stops and commas.

The story on Facebook is vaguely plausible, although I still reckon he probably fell into a ravine when off his head. That said, get involved with that crowd and they end up pissed off for something you've done and you might see a bad outcome...

He seems a bit of a dodgy fker though and karma has probably got to him.

We drove down the road to Masca last October, it certainly has a fair few switch backs.
If he’s still high/on a come down and decided to walk it, I can see him making a decision a straight line down those slopes would save time and be a good idea….

Merely a mild disagreement.
