There might be some law about sex in the military that does what the poster suggests but if there was I suspect the poster would have cited it by now. So most likely it's bulldust.

It used to be the party of the lower rank was posted. Happened a number of times at Lyneham, hubby away on a 6 month posting, wife started an affair with officer. SNCO, hubby came back to no wife and a posting away.

Of if consensual, say with a Waaf, she got posted to another section/station. 'Martini' comes to mind, or 10BA...

I don't believe she did it for publicity. I see no benefit to her of having it filmed on someone else's phone. A Prison Officer job with gold plated pension was worth more than anything OF could give her and why the delay if she wanted it public?

What the hell are they going to do with a load of geriatric prison officers? A friend retired at whatever the original age was (55? 60?) and his last years were somewhere "soft" becaise it was accepted he was too old for the front line.

It's happening elsewhere too, such as the police who now only get their full pension at age 60, and some cops who joined later in life are staying beyond 60 seeing as they cant be forced to retire.

There's a beat cop in the town I live in who is over 60 and has no intention of retiring. I pray for the day when a cop stays beyond age 70 and wants to stay on the beat, just to see how their force handle that one. They will have a duty of care to safeguard the ageing cop, yet will also be governed by age discrimination legislation if they try to move them to a desk job
