Mallory and Irvine are still on the NE Ridge, though there has been some talk that Irvine's body had been removed, but by whom??
This one's a good one. The theory being that he was killed by a piste basher and they rolled him into a crevasse only for him to appear at the bottom years later.
That particular glacier will probably be gone in the next decade or 2 so it'll be interesting to see if anything else appears.

I walked from my accommodation in Mendoza to the airport in 2017 with all my backpacking gear. Circa 30 degrees and 3 hours or so.When I was a young, stupid and tight-fisted Yorkshire lad. Annoyingly when I got there you couldn't actually walk in so I had to get a taxi anyway.

t, you go to the mountains to hide or make something disappear.I feel a bit dirty speculating but it sounds more like he thought he was going to get done in for robbing someones watch so tried to do a runner (from the airbnb where he was staying) and took the "scenic" route to stay off the main road as the person he took the watch off was coming to get it back.
He could have wandered miles from where his last phone location was and has probably succumbed in the wilderness.
