Best answer I heard to the question “would you like ice with that?” Was from a retired policeman.

“If there’s room”

2 anti-SNP votes here.

For the only candidate who replied to my question 'what is a Woman?', all the spineless or weirdo others ignored the question.

Having Granddaughters definitely changes your mindset.

Last election I was canvassing at doors for the SNP.

Shows what happens when Crooks and Perverts get unmasked.

Well done you...if only others came to the same conclusion.

Two tactical anti-SNP votes here. I hope they're not wasted. The SNP candidate is pretty high profile and boundary changes mean we're voting in his "patch" for the first time. Lets see !

There is a worrying proportion of commenters on Wings articles recently who have abstained or spoiled ballots.

I hope everyone's ready with party snacks and preferred refreshing beverage? Good luck chaps, not all of us will make it through the night. smile

Has anyone seen Krankie and Big Pete going into a polling station together today, like they did last election?,

I think I'll probably stick it out until ~2, the overall result will be clear by then and hopefully a few prominent scalps taken.

My other half said she'd pick up some snacks for the long evening ahead. The olives and houmous are just about acceptable but these are a step too far - thankfully I was in charge of the drinks.

Sadly I’m a morning lark that gets ~9 hours sleep a night. So I’ll have no idea until 7am.

Tactical vote cast this evening...at 7pm the polling station was very busy, good to see actually, people out using their right to vote.

Now the wait begins...I've got everything crossed the SNP get a tanking.

I would normally stay up till 5/6am on an election night but unfortunately I need to be in the centre of Edinburgh by 8.30am tomorrow to pick up a hire van so I doubt I will make it past 2/3am. I really, really hope I wake up to the SNP on less than the predicted 19 seats.

Overheard on a tram in Edinburgh today:

Are you voting?
Naw fk that, they’re aw fannies
Aye me neither
I was always Labour but Starmer is a fanny. Can’t vote SNP cause of sturgeon stealing all that money. Lib Dem are even bigger Fannies. Green are tree huggers. Reform is ok but they’re just for England so I cannae be arsed.

Verbatim.

I'll echo the comments about it being really busy at polling stations, could barely get parked, had to queue when I was inside. Good to see, and hopefully it'll knock the SNP into oblivion.

Well the deed is done... tactical vote in Glenrothes to prevent Pedro Grunt's cooncil buddy from replacing him as the SNP incumbent. The Liebore candidate doesn't seem much better, but I'd return a pot of petunias as MP in preference to an SNP cult drone. Meanwhile, the petunias would think "oh no, not again..."

I have a very pleasant bottle of malt on standby to toast every seat the SNP lose... one loss = one nip. There's 28 nips in a standard bottle, I'm hoping that I'll have run out of whisky by 7am and be exceedingly inebriated.
I thought it was 20, so I bought 2 bottles. Better safe than sorry.
You could have a double if any SNP candidates lose their deposit...

Right ladies and gents, in preparation for the closing of the ballots and the start of the counts, eyes down for a full house of lost SNP seats...
