The people that staff Time and its output, its not exactly Newsweek or, Forbes. I read Time on and off when I travel, you can usually find it on a hotel magazine stand as well (next to Forbes usually). Sometimes the output is even handed, its not as bad as MSNBC but its like reading a U.S version of the Guardian at times.

Looks like the Tanned one had quite the day today (25th March 2024) :

Do you think the journalists at 'Time' magazine are 'communists'? I know a contributor at that publication and I can assure you she is not a 'communist'. Which writers, specifically, would you consider 'communists' there?

That's good news for trump, if true. 'Truth Social' being worth multiple billions seems very unlikely, but it will be interesting to see how that goes.

Either way, he should have no problem paying the $175m bond to the court. Perhaps he'll manage to hang on to his gaudy NY tower.

Not really.. He can't cash in his shares in the company for at least 6 months. Be interesting to see what the value of them is then.

Not many will openly admit to being a communist leaning journalist in the U.S.A. There will be plenty of self-proclaimed 'Democratic Socialists' at Time and that's an oxymoron as there's no such thing. Where there are lots of Socialists, such as Time or, The Guardian, there will be communists. Its just a statistical improbability that amongst a pool of Socialists, there are no communists. In the same way it would be improbable to claim that amongst a Conservative pool, there are no Nationalists.

Don't take my word for it, just read the magazine and form your own view on their output, I know I have.

Where's the sign of all this money. It's the ultimate con trump has always done to claim he's worth billions.
Can't pay his Bond despite boasting he had the cash, two rich GOP donors were looking to try to bail him out so he wasn't going to use his own money.
30 companies wouldn't give him a bond against his property and they are mortgaged to the hilt, he owns nothing after the loans are repayed and the IRS take their payment due.

He's not campaigning as he has no money, and he wasn't even using big, expensive venues. HE was deliberately using tiny venues and just letting the faithful in. Any dissenters were soon removed, or assaulted.

He's spent it all his campaign money propping up his failing businesses and paying his massive legal bills.
And he's done this every time, although not quite so soon. He ran out of money in 2016, needed propping up with $10m funnelled through Egypt. Got bailed out again in 2020.

trump spent over a $1bn on both last campaigns, he can barely raise $40m currently and it's going down rapidly, $5m a month on legal bills and the donations coming in aren't covering anywhere near.

Here - have this pinch of salt

Mornin Joe warning that the publicly traded TS stock has the makings of being part of a classic trump scam that will leave some new investors holding the bag while trump walks away with their cash.

"In a free and open and fair market, I mean, if you're just talking about economic considerations, who would invest in this company unless you were trying to curry favor with somebody who you think will be the next president of the United States,"

Is it not entirely impossible that there are Trump-supporting and/or GOP billionaires kicking about who will use the utter pump and dump that is TS simply to fill Trumps pockets, on purpose?
To my understanding there are various restrictions on him doing business in NY, so they can't give it to him directly.
On the other hand, they can do the most one-sided, stty business deal of all time in order to enrich him at their own loss (but being billionaires it doesn't really hurt that much?)

I'm not up to speed on what he's barred from doing at the moment, if anyone could explain.

He's not from raising the bond, the court did stay the provision barring trump & his companies from borrowing from financial institutions registered or chartered by NY’s Department of Financial Services.
There's enough links posted

but also remember he went to 30 companies who refused to lend him, trump doesn't own anything of anyworth, he's nothing left by the time his loans are paid and the IRS get their cut. He's been running on loans for so long now, other peoples money

Eric said they laughed at them

He's got no money

So a lot of weasel words about how there must be communists there because "lefty" (by US standards).

McCarthy would be proud of such twisted "logic".

You are a fool.

He can't sell his DJT shares for at least 6 months - it's a condition of the deal.
So any real value won't be known until then.

But as pointed out by many, trump might as well play golf as he's run out of money to campaign. Broke Basement Don is trending, as is Don Poorleone
Serious questions:

Is he that good at golf? He might well be, don’t know.

Did other competitors let him win?

So he cheated at, what i imagine, is a well attended event like this?

Any evidence from a decent source?

Are you having a giraffe? There are books about how he cheats at golf, comedians make jokes about it and newspapers print articles about it.

It's his own course, with selected players. There's many reports on how if trump his a bad shot, he claims it doesn't count, drops another ball and plays the shot again - as an example.
Thing is, he's not a bad golfer - just not a great one.

This is the man who claimed he was his club champion because he beat the man who won the club championship Ted Virtue trump challnged him winner takes all when he was playing with his 10 year old son, 6 holes only.

At one hole, Virtue and his son both hit their balls onto the putting green, while trump hit his ball into the water. trump claimed the sons ball was his, got his caddy to back him up

Claimed he won a club championship without being there because he had lower scores than the winner 'many times' in his rounds there.

The man who caddies nicknamed Pele because he kicked his ball onto the fairway so many times, or moved it into a more favourable position
