I’m aware this may sound far-fetched and I may have gone down my own rabbit hole researching it, but I just don’t buy that a young lad at a party with his mates in a foreign country would (by choice) jump in a car with two blokes he doesn’t know (who are both much older) and drive up to a highly remote location in the mountains for a few hours. A location which was quickly identified by Lucy from a few random Snapchat messages? Or were there more than three of them in car, or did Jay even go to Masca (his phone may have…). You just wouldn’t start walking 11 hours when buses were due shortly, it’s totally ridiculous however hungover or whatever comedown you’re on, imho.

So many questions need answering. It’s fascinating and concerning in equal measure and I appreciate I probably sound loopy but it’s got me gripped for some reason.
The Airbnb woman said she spoke to him regarding the bus times, he then setoff walking and she passed him 15 minutes later in the car.
So why didn’t she give him a lift laugh

The girl he was with Lucy Mae is clearly involved in something - someone has put a youtube video up listing all the places she's been partying in the past couple of years pretty impressive for a 19 yr old to fund this much partying (presumably they have taken this from her Instagram or Facebook posts and compiled a list of destinations....

The insinuations about the list above are a load of rubbish - she was in the Lake District last month, she's obviously been travelling around Europe taking orders for Kendal Mint Cake.

I doubt she’d have been able to hear the Creamfields music very well from Liverpool.

I am curious, how many of you have phones that would allow to make calls with 1% battery life left?

As in what features will your phone let you access with 1%?

Pretty sure you can do anything on an iphone at 1%. When it runs out it runs out.

Has she deleted her social media this Lucy girl? seems to want a low profile

Yep, last week I was out all day and my phone died, it got to 5% and was already in extreme battery saver mode and then just shut down within minutes, without me using it, I'm sure if I tried to make a call at 5% it would have instantly died. It's only 8m old so battery is in good nick.

Yep when my phone gets to 2 percent it tells me it will automatically power-off in 30 seconds, so it can manage the various apps etc.

(I never let it get to 2%, I'm not that fking council)

To be fair do we know has that been or can it be verified officially anywhere other than being something she has said in interviews that he supposedly said to her?.

The whole thing is fishier than a very fishy thing. E.g he could've waited for the next bus by having a nap at the bus stop for a couple of hours as surely most overtired teens would do but instead chooses to walk back but is totally unseen after leaving the airb&b?. The thing about him nicking a watch from the airb&b or drug deal gone wrong seems more likely why you wouldn't hang around where he was taken surely.

From all of the stories etc flying about it's looking less likely to just be a lost innocent abroad / first time away from family isn't it?

From CCTV or a camera of some description at Playa de las Americas I read.

This version is clearer and longer if our audio expert can take a listen, although I noticed when the on screen video pauses the distressed girl keeps speaking, so is this just a cleverly dubbed video?

Listening to that,

There’s quite a few “fks”

Girl (Lucy) “screams”
“Look in that bag”
“Oh jay, oh jay, I’m sorry WTF happened”
More cries

My take is the sts obviously hit the fan, but is she speaking with jay in that video, or is that another guys voice and the bag contains something other than drugs resulting in a scream
From Lucy and empathy for jay

Listening to it, it seems more the latter to me

Just seen this on sky news. Another friend saying they had a video call when he was lost.

"I said, 'put your location on'. He said: '15-minute drive, 14-hour walk'. I don't know if it's accurate or not so I said to him: 'It's only a 15-minute drive, get a taxi'."

What takes 15 mins to drive but 14 hours to walk, either the driving is very fast or the walking is off!
