M.Pence and K.Harris are the political equivalent of talking into an empty room.
Pence I'd agree but then it's hard to be heard if you're in trumps company. It all has to be about him, plus Pence was only taken on board for the evangelical vote.Harris not so much, she's been hitting the Colleges for the last 6 months, speaking to students, encouraging them to vote.
In fact republicans are terrified she could become the President
This is written by the same Kathleen Parker who wrote a column alleging Christine Blasey Ford was mistaken in her identification of Brett Kavanaugh, but then she is still pissed over her questioning of Kavanaugh

I think around 80% of the U.S would be terrified of K. Harris becoming U.S president for any lengthy period tbh.
Why would you think that? Got anything to back that up, because shes highly rated by the Dems. Now I can understand some of the maga being terrified of a strong black woman in charge...but thats hardly 80% of the USThere's a recent polls, which the NY Post used to call her a court jester. I guess it's over 80% if you only include republicans
https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/electi...
76% of voters who identified as Democrats approve of Harris' job performance, in terms of her overall popularity, she is viewed favorably by 59% of Black voters

I found her testimony more credible than Kavanaugh's, but I accept that is largely personal bias and she could just be a better actor than he is. No one knows better as the FBI did not investigate her allegations.hidetheelephants said:

Yes, why else would they put so many obstacles in her way, restrict the FBI investigation to a very narrow remit, refuse to hear testimony from others about Kavanaughs behaviour at college? Refuse to investigate who paid off his debts? Also he and her family still receive threats, as is the way with trumps america now, her personal information posted on social media etc.
Worth reading Christine Blasey Ford's book One way back when it's released. The clips of it so far are revealing.
trump and his team keep claiming people were better off 4 years ago
4 Years ago, trump was suggesting everyone going back to work during a pandemic is really no big deal because lots of people die from the flu and car accidents

Biden congratulated trump on his epic wins at his club. Nice bit of Dark Brandon
"Congratulations, Donald. Quite the accomplishment."

But as pointed out by many, trump might as well play golf as he's run out of money to campaign. Broke Basement Don is trending, as is Don Poorleone

How many of these red blooded republican sympathisers over here understand that even the most 'socialist' democrat over there is still far to the right of our tories?
Not many seem to understand it. I think trump and Fox News goons endlessly using the words 'socialist', 'communist', 'Marxist' and 'radical' seems to have been successful. paulguitar said:
Who are you referring to?
The people that staff Time and its output, its not exactly Newsweek or, Forbes. I read Time on and off when I travel, you can usually find it on a hotel magazine stand as well (next to Forbes usually). Sometimes the output is even handed, its not as bad as MSNBC but its like reading a U.S version of the Guardian at times. Looks like the Tanned one had quite the day today (25th March 2024) :
