Can Sir Keir Starmer revive the Labour Party? (Vol. 2)
Discussion
Well the answer to the question is yes.
Like most elections they are lost rather than won and this one was definitely one of those, much like the last one with Boris.
Despite hating the labour party and all it stands for and the incoming tax punishments, I still feel relieved we have got rid of the last government who just got so hopelessly lost in the stuff they didn't need to get lost in. No vision and not campaign. But Johnson and Truss had already delivered the fatal blows. Sunak was just the snotty Midshipman left on the bridge at the end.
Fair play to Starmer, he has done a lot to change his party of the dark days of the malignant Corbyn and friends. Can he keep them in check? A big majority is great, but that also allows for large numbers of factions, and look what that did to the tories.
There are no quick fixes to our problems and does Starmer have the idea and leadership to deliver? He didn't really have a proposition for the election, he didn't need one. If the tories rebuild well, he could be a one term PM. If the tories go into meltdown then he will get two but will probably be ousted by those on the left.
