I've got a big day on Friday so I won't be up all night, but the exit polls are going to be interesting. Labour are going to win, that seems certain now, but will it really be a super majority? Also, will Reform 'do a UKIP', Win 10%-15% of the popular vote, but not win any seats?

Will any of the Tory big hitters like Hunt, JRM, even Boris?? or Mordaunt lose their seat?

That would be some achievement.
You could watch the bloke who replaced him lose Uxbridge and imagine it's Boris?

Seems I missed the memo on him leaving the Commons. He still turns up on lists of 'Tory Beasts' who could lose their seat.

Sod that. I'm not staying up until 5am to watch Gullis lose, however much I'm looking forward to it. Time for a kip and an early alarm call.

No need for that, the exit polls will tell you more or less what's what barring the nailbiters as soon as the polls close. The declarations are just for watching people deliver concession speeches.

Yeah same as when Boris won their surprise majority against Corbyn, there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth outside bbc house.

I suspect there will be cheering and crowing the "right" party won this tine

Laura K will probably shed a few tears.

I was listening to Newscast podcast yesterday with David Dimbleby on, and he was saying the exit poll was the worst thing to ever happen on election nights, saying its like reading the last page of a book first. I tend to agree, I'd much rather see the night unfold as the results come in.
Obviously you can choose to not watch it, but they keep referring back to it.

Regarding which channel to watch, I'm going to give the Newcast team a go on iplayer, they're basically doing a sort of behind the scenes coverage in Gogglebox style and a small live ordience

Yep, full Superbowl mode here - beers, snacks, matchsticks for eyelids. Been watching election nights for as long as I can remember. My gaffer asked me "doing anything nice with your Friday off?" - I don't think he was expecting my answer laugh

In terms of coverage to watch, I think I'll steer away from big media and take in a livestreaming podcast or two. Just bought a long HDMI cable so I can link my laptop to the telly, watch the podcast while making invaluable(!) contributions here. Probably have the Beeb on standby to see their reaction to any 'Portillo' moments that happen.

I also have a very pleasant bottle of malt on standby to toast every seat the SNP lose... one loss = one nip. I hope I'm going to be off my face by 5am.

I was annoyed I couldn’t book off Friday, however being off for a swollen knee joint today and tomorrow has had a small positive outcome!
Waiting to collect prescription and then off to get some supplies to see me through the night

I’ve got a second TV down so we can have two channels on at the same time!

If you're really determined to get absolutely stface, may I suggest adding in when the Tories lose a seat? Though there might not be enough in just one bottle...

If getting blotto is the objective I'd suggest a shot every time someone uses the words unprecedented or landslide, you'll be unconscious before Sunderland gets called.

Buzzword bingo. You'll be gone 15 minutes after the polls close.
