I was asking about your specific assertion that the law is law and applies to everyone equally, when we’re seeing that clearly isn’t the case.
And I have said not once but a dozen times that in the real world (not TV shows) the law moves slowly. If you really think Smith is doing nothing you have no understanding of how the law works. I have a retired barrister friend who has plenty of time to explain how the law works. I will suggest he register on this site and you can debate every specific point of law you want with him ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Evidence driven cases take time. No competent prosecutor rushes a slipshod case in a few months expecting to win.
There are literally hundreds of years of legal precedent that illustrate successful legal cases are all about the quality of evidence and this takes time.
I have made that point to you dozens and dozens of times. Any lawyer or even any first year law student can tell you that.
I'm sorry if that answer is not satisfactory for you. I genuinely don't have the time these days which is why I'm scarce. I can't click my fingers and make things happen overnight in my life either!

I'm too busy in the real world these days for the endless repetitive hamster wheel we seem to keep going round on. So let's just wait and see. I've said many times he will not be the eventual nominee in my view which moots the whole question.
I do think Trump will be the nominee. I say that because he still has the support of McDaniel and none of the current candidates are any good. McDaniel’s support is key to becoming the nominee, and she has said she’d continue to support Trump even if he’s a convicted criminal.Unless I've read that incorrectly which is entirely possible, although I did sort by 'Favourite', you're not the only one.

The GOP is in chaos at the moment. Senator Bernie Sanders had to prevent GOP Senator Markwayne Mullin from physically fighting a guy during a Senate hearing yesterday

trump has filed his mistril appeal in the fraud case, basically claiming the clerk was saying nasty things about him

If you have a Reuters account an interesting article about vulnerable, weak and stupid Trumpists being seduced online:
https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-repor...
The article details a man who shot his wife dead because he "came to believe that his wife, Jessica, was a transgender person fathered by President Joe Biden".

Habba was explicitly warned about public filings related to the clerk and is under a gag order herself. Yet as filed it appears they publicly filed their mistrial motion, brief, and supporting affidavits without permission—and in a way that likely triggers another violation of the same gag order they claim exemplifies Engoron’s bias.https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocume...
Trump's lawyers are truly the dregs of the legal profession.
I do hope LF5335 actually reads the motion and understands how it is completely counterproductive to the stated aim not a genius legal strategy.
Interesting read here about how Fox fell for the Dominion lie

I’d go with mental illness being the main reason there over any particular ideology.https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-repor...

You have stated numerous times that the law must be applied equally to everyone. Yet we have clear evidence that it’s not being done.
The fact this is moving at the pace of a glacier with the handbrake on is not relevant to the question I’ve asked.

Good read, thanks. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/11/15/...
So, an email from a self-proclaimed nutcase wasn’t checked and it all went from there. The lack of internal accountability at Fox was/is staggering.

Whether I read it or not will not alter the fact that here will be no consequences of note for Trump or his legal team. How many breaches will this be? What’s the worst that’s happened to him? Trump's lawyers are truly the dregs of the legal profession.

Quite significant penalties in NY, the loss of all his businesses, banned from doing business in NY (which is where all/most of his businesses are registered, the break up of trump org, and further protracted legal cases. Not to mention being shown up to be skint, not the billionaire he claims...Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is asking a judge to revoke the bond agreement for Harrison Floyd, one of trump's election co-defendants, citing recent comments on social media and podcasts that she says amounts to a "pattern of intimidation."
This is the man who refused a bail, made of political point of it claiming it was because he was black, and had at one point admitted to his team laking the proffer videos, which was then claimed as a typo.
https://edition.cnn.com/2023/11/15/politics/harris...
Edit: It's provoked many calls for trump to face the same

Edit2: Misty Hampton's lawyer Jonathan Miller confessed that it was him that leaked the videos, trying to claim a first amendment right to do so

Hunter Biden has asked the judge presiding over his criminal case to subpoena trump, Bill Barr, and other ex-top DOJ officials arguing the investigation into him was the result of "incessant, improper, and partisan pressure" from trump and his allies, in an effort to manufacture dirt against HJoe Biden and affect his election.

Edit: Seems he has a reference. In the middle of trump's rant to Rosen and Donoghue on 27 Dec 2020 about the DOJ helping him to steal the election, he raised the Hunter Biden.investigation. It's in the Donoghue testmony to the Jan 6 Committee

Nikki Hayley on Fox with Hannity, when asked if she was elected as President, cut ties with “these globalist organizations”, Haley says that she would do the opposite
Remove the United States from the United Nations Human Rights Council.
Keep the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord.
Withdraw the United States from the World Health Organization.
Help defund the United Nations by scaling back our commitments there.
So much for being the moderate candidate, shes still trying to appeal to trump cult
