Just an FYI
CNN does not decide who the president is.
In spite of his best efforts, neither does Trump. CNN does not decide who the president is.

(Not you Bill).
The Dem’s are not Left wing, they are centre-right with a smattering of ‘progressives’ who are just left of centre.
As Bill mentioned some of the Scandinavian countries and Belgium, France, Slovakia (iirc) all have 50%+ / 60%+ tax rates for certain groups of earners.
I am a huge fan of the French system in which you pay more tax when you are young / single and the tax liability reduces as you marry and have a family.
Biden is fantastic news, nothing radical, a safe pair of hands to try and heal the divide in the US.
Appreciate the clarification (Not you Bill).

You may have noticed he was laughing - unlike Trump, Biden has a sense of humour. It was a joke.Pesty said:

They seem a little divided both in their political views and what they consider to be the reasons for their poor performance in congress and senate races.
The other day I heard that one Democrat was blaming them for being too left wing, now we’ve got AOC saying it’s the opposite. I don’t think she can be right really. You’d hardly choose not to vote democrat and risk republican government because you thought the democrats weren’t left wing enough.

Yes they're very misguided. "it either has to be perfect or dreadful, I'm not settling for any middle ground" Vanden Saab said:

Labour will coalesce around Starmer, and Momentum will shout impotently from the fringes - they tried the Corbyn thing, it failed (thankfully).
