Harris is useless, she would lose to Trump too.

We are well into 25th amendment territory going by the debate performance.

Clearly indicative that in this administration, the president is just a placeholder, for show, irrelevant to whatever the finance-defense-pharma cabal wants to do.

I feel sorry for Joe despite his failings over the decades. Just let him retire in peace. It's immoral that those surrounding him persist with clinging on to this farce. I suspect their morality is a bottomless void.

It is going to be fascinating to see how the party of diversity and inclusion will sideline Harris.
Harris doesn’t seem to be significantly better…her response to how the debate went wasn’t great! “Started weak, ended strong”.

What the hell do you say as VP when you've just watched your boss do that?

If I knew, maybe I’d be VP!!! hehe

Agreed of course. It was a cluster.

One thing I would say, I have an elderly person close to me who has just failed the first test for potential dementia (forgive me for not knowing the correct terms - this info is third hand). This person is on really good form when they are doing the same well practiced routine - like their daily routine, and when they are well rested. When they do something outside of the normal or are tired, they struggle.

I’m not saying Biden does or doesn’t have dementia - it was just seeing that debate vs the speech reminded me of how the same person can be two very different people in different circumstances.

It has nothing to do with Harris being black, and everything to do with the fact she is useless at politics and very difficult to like, which isn’t a great combination when you are standing to be President. I think if Michele Obama ran she would win.

Since we are ignoring The Goldwater Rule today (and this is coming from me, and not Dr Guitar) trump is a textbook malignant narcissist and sociopath. And possibly a raft of more obscure conditions detailed in the DSM.

Back to the subject of this thread, it's amazing how different Biden was a couple of hours after the debate. Completely normal. It's weird.
It's a car forum. No one cares about ethical guidance for psychologists and whether it applies to a doctor giving an opinion on Biden's health.

Secondly, I don't think many people disagree with what Trump likely is.

There's the Trump thread for that in any event. The issue is people still trying to make excuses for Biden.

Even Biden has come out and said he doesn't debate like he used to (within the context of he knows he's not a young man). Great, one of the most important jobs in the world by undertaken by someone essentially admitting they're past their best.

Now if we had mid-40s 1980s Biden then he'd be a force: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_v00iGJCLY&t=...

Where notably he has a lot more hair than in the earlier clip. So if nothing else, proof that hair loss treatment can work smile

Or replace Kamala Harris with Barrack Obama as VP pick, so people know there’ll be a safe pair of hands to catch the fall smile

I don't think Michelle would be very keen on that!

On the other hand, it is literally about possibly saving the country, so the stakes are high.

The chance that Trump hasn’t thought about the same tactic to retain power (if he gets it) is zero, IMHO.

I don’t think Obama would be eligible to be VP, he’s already served two terms as Pres, so as VP, if Biden died etc then Obama would be ineligible to serve as President (25th amendment) I could be wrong though.

You seem to be, I’m afraid. The constitution only precludes Obama standing for election as President, not from being elevated some other way.

I think as long as he’s not voted in, he’s fine. I could be the one who’s wrong though.

There was the even more serious 'Dijonmustardgate' as well.

Spot diagnoses are rarely things that I get involved in but sometimes they are just so obvious.

I have also made them in real life.

He is not my Patient but I would be confident that JB has Parkinson's just by looking at him "on the telly"

As a junior doctor I worked for a neurologist at the John Radcliffe and he would spot them as they walked into the waiting room.

It is obvious. It really is.

Excellent. Can we have your spot diagnosis on Trump please. Feel free to use his shark vs electric boat rants for any research
"Deflectors to maximum, Mr Scott..."
Ditto, as he completely avoided giving his expert opinion. That says a lot about him and his medical diagnoses.

I was hoping the self-proclaimed medical expert would give a balanced diagnosis for both sides. Seems not though. Wonder why. Not.

I think to be fair, trump's issues are more the kind of thing Mrs (Dr) Guitar deals with, ie personality disorders, and mental illnesses. Having said that, trump does seem to exhibit some signs of dementia as well.
