How the die hards on here can try and defend Biden as fit to be President of the USA is beyond comprehension.
Easily led and need a sort of religious belief system maybe? It'd be easy to just call them stupid, but many are very intelligent people. It's very strange and quite fascinating really.

there were huge world media concerns at the D-Day event,
Regardless of any other issues, this is bunkum.
Why is it 'bunkum'?

The worldwide media reported the concerns on his performance there, not just a few here on a forum.

The smaller events such as being unable to find his way off many stages, gibber, freezing etc etc were all low key events and then rubbished as 'deep fake'.

You have his performance at D-Day now corroborated by a shocking performance at the debate that has been met with the same universal option by the global news media.

It's far from 'bunkum'.

I don't think it's just been this administration. I can remember as far back as Reagan although even today some still champion Reagonomics. I have a bridge for sale for anyone that actually believes Reagan came up with many of the policies implemented during his time.

Despite that i would rather him, or any other president over these two. At least Biden has an excuse for his performance, he is an old man. Trump is just a lunatic. All i heard in the debate from him was meaningless word salad suggesting everything connected to him was the best ever.

I only pop into these threads to see if Trump is closer to ending up in jail given what i have read on him in this forum i thought it was a sure thing. Now he is running for president again, go team America, fk yeah !

Only in America and thank fk for that.
The trouble is of course that “only in America” is never actually only in America. More now than ever, arguably.

My paper didn't report it, the BBC didn't report it, nor any other broadcast news, a not very exhaustive survey of news articles about it said nothing of note other than Rishi came home early; FOX news might have, but as they've been reporting that Biden is senile for 5 years that fails under the general bullst clause. Not that it matters as I watched the official stream of the ceremony and Biden looked normal to me. It was quite moving, his speech hit the spot.

I would suggest not 'very intelligent' but more like the classic midwit.

What does Biden bring that someone else couldn't?

Nothing.

What does Biden cost that others wouldn't?

How long have you got.

We are heading into a potentially more dangerous era, with China emboldened, run by a lunatic who kills his opposition, a properly nasty dictator who is not hiding his intent.

We have a war in Europe with another lunatic who is going nowhere.

We have a deteriorating EU block with politics heading towards the far right as the political class have ignored the issues of their citizens, we are now seeing the results playing out. UK is an outlier in Europe, heading centre left.

We need a sober USA to help keep the lid on the potential results of the above, they are the only super power, when they effectively go missing politically, that has consequences.

Throw an even worse scenario into the mix, Trump as president again, looking for revenge after everyone showed their delight in his previous loss, and it should become obvious that the Dems have to put up a credible candidate that will win.

Biden is not that, he needs to go.

It seems he wants to try and tough it out. His wife looks to be the driving force, so until she is convinced otherwise, it seems he will try and continue.

However, with every passing week, pressure will continue to mount. Every minor gaff he makes going forward will be amplified even more than before. And the longer he holds on, the less time a successor has to make their case.

Even a stalwart Biden supporter like The New York Times has today called for him to stand down from the election race.

I felt that 'Bidens' moving speech that hit the spot, actually hit the spot better when it was first said by Reagan back at the same spot in 1984.

Whoever 'wrote' Bidens speech for D-Day was correctly assuming Biden would have no recollection of when it was made previously.

I must say what a joy it has been to watch the left and all the left news organizations get a huge amount of egg on their faces after predicting that Biden was going to wipe the floor with Trump during the debate. Jesus Chris what a shocking performance, as soon as Biden is put out to grass the better. Their excuses are hilarious, they are in total denial! Meanwhile the US thanks to Democrats and their loony policies seems to be getting worse by the day, open borders, uncontrolled immigration, rough sleepers everywhere, retail and leisure virtually shut down in LA and San Francisco due to legalized shop lifting, what the hell happened in the last few years?

He has Parkinson's and now has an associated dementia. He probably has a life expectancy of 5 years. It's why for the last few years he has been "up and down" and still has moments when he is able to almost function. The condition (and it's treatment) makes it fluctuant.

It is why he "freezes" as it is primarily a movement disorder (initially) and I would not wish it on my worst enemy, a cruel and incurable affliction, chap needs care not ridicule.

He is probably being dosed up to his eyeballs with Co-Careldopa to keep him actually walking, but now he doesn't know why or where he is trying to walk.

He will not be standing for election later this year.

It's not the same speech, it's redolent of it and whoever wrote it clearly meant to echo it by using the same rhetorical points. But you know that.

Do you genuinely believe that there are open borders and legalized shoplifting in the US?

I didn't, I can see it by looking at him. It's a "spot" diagnosis

If it was a song, Biden would have been in court for plagiarism and having to pay out 90% of royalties.

Ronnie did the speech in '84 far better and without an autocue.
