The obviously faked parachute videos that nobody on here posted, but were used used to obfuscate the discussion on the video's of Joe freezing..

I think last night makes those supporting the threat of the ban hammer look ridiculous.

ETA Not unfit for the role, what do you actually need to see before you decide differently?

Edited by TonyToniTone on Friday 28th June 14:35
Discussion was about the gop posting of videos, not in here. I don't think floating voters are looking to np&e to make their minds up wink

No idea what your ban hammer comment is supposed to mean. Posting behaviour is what warrants a ban, not it's substance, Shirley?

For fitness fir the role- it's purely down to the ability to make the right decisions for the country, as pertains to the role of the executive branch. That's it. That's all the role requires. The president runs neither the house, the congress or the juducuary. It's a very different "government" structure to the uk.

M.
The ban 'hammer' arose a week or two ago on the '45th' thread when a few had the audacity to suggest Biden was struggling and the dozen or so who run that thread requested moderators to intervene.
The ban hammer threat came about at the time of the discussion about those videos of Joe Biden being led away by Barack Obama, where some posters insisted one video posted on the thread was faked and other posters queried which video they meant and asked how the video had been faked. I recollect a full, uncut video was posted and that seemed to be the one that they insisted (without evidence or explanation) was faked somehow.
The mod cited something along the line of not allowing 'alternative facts' to be perpetuated. It wasn't clear who it was that they suggested was pushing these alternative facts.

Maybe another video was posted, which was fake, but was swiftly deleted leading to confusion?

Has everyone already forgotten Biden’s recent performance at the State of the Union? GOP shat themselves and said Uncle Joe had to have been on drugs. Its pathetic.

I expect Joe to dole out a similar drubbing and the subsequent shutting up of the toxic Biden muck spreaders. For a week, at least!
I am sure Joe will win the debate, and if he does why should that exclude people posting any future faux pas?
Speaking of faux pas!

Someone gave him a coffee, his speech just now was night and day and he banged it.

It would be great to hear the stories in 20-30 years time on exactly what is going on now behind the scenes.
Linky?
It's only a segment of the speech but it's State of the Union Joe, not debate stage deer in headlights Joe. Not sure it changes anything, especially the inevitable claims he's senile/on drugs/a clone, but the polls will be interesting to see what if any difference there is.

And your point is what, exactly?
He has a dose of "resting old guy face"?

The doctored videos, falsely presented videos with the narrative of "oh em gee! Clearly unfit" are still just that- a cheap, lazy attempt to portray an old man as unfit.

And 90 minutes of an old mamn with a cold, yet still able to debate and state his policies, doesn't make him unfit either.

Sorry to burst your bubble(s)

On the other hand, the large majority if what trump said last night was outright untruths. Which makes him far more "oh em gee! Clearly unfit"

Your writing is pure comedy. Joe will be gone in a couple of weeks Even the Dems sponsors are pulling the plug.
Face reality man, it’s over. Terrible strategy by the Dems, running a guy with dementia was never going to work.
It seems only the true die hard Biden fans were blind to it. To the rest of is it was fully apparent.

He'd be pretty stupid if he tried to deny it.

The videos weren't doctored, thank goodness the debate was on CNN.

A cold? I don't think that is going to wash with anyone who watched the debate. Whilst he could state some policies others as he couldn't without losing his train of thought, mumbling bordering on gibberish, and couldn't fact check the orange guy and teed up trump attacks.

I really don’t understand what is happening in the US at the moment. How can the Republicans support someone who is too old and demonstrably unfit to be President? He isn’t allowed to run a charity, his is a convicted felon and tried to overturn the vote. And on the other side the Democrats aren’t able to push out someone who is also not just demonstrably too old for the job but an actual liability at the ballot box. Weird.

Still, if I could vote it would be Biden every time as definitely the lesser evil.

Despite the bullish opinions on here about Trump losing I currently think he will win.

TFG has ejected all non-MAGA people from the GoP, there are no adults left in the room to stop him being the republican candidate. The founding fathers did not anticipate the Imp of the Perverse made flesh seeking to become president, so didn't insert a clause in the constitution making felons ineligible.

TRiP (Rory & Al) did an 'emergency' episode yesterday, which sounds a bit melodramatic but probably isn't, in context. Worth a listen, echoes what many have been posting about the need to step down.

I posted previously a few weeks back on the toxic '45' thread before I was chased out of town that I 'genuinely cannot wait for the debate'.

It was unfortunately worse than I anticipated, and has made Biden look even less capable of being current President, never mind the next President.

The reporting of the debate around the global news networks has made the USA a laughing stock on the world stage as they are led by an old man which in normal circumstances would be in a nice care home somewhere trying to remember who his visitors are.

I now hope there isn't a 2nd debate, as the damage to the USA reputation cannot continue; there were huge world media concerns at the D-Day event, and this has turned the volume up to 10.

How the die hards on here can try and defend Biden as fit to be President of the USA is beyond comprehension.

We are well into 25th amendment territory going by the debate performance.

Clearly indicative that in this administration, the president is just a placeholder, for show, irrelevant to whatever the finance-defense-pharma cabal wants to do.

I feel sorry for Joe despite his failings over the decades. Just let him retire in peace. It's immoral that those surrounding him persist with clinging on to this farce. I suspect their morality is a bottomless void.

It is going to be fascinating to see how the party of diversity and inclusion will sideline Harris.

Removing who we are talking about for a moment, can you see how having a clause barring felons from running for office could be abused by a candidates political opponents?

I don't think it's just been this administration. I can remember as far back as Reagan although even today some still champion Reagonomics. I have a bridge for sale for anyone that actually believes Reagan came up with many of the policies implemented during his time.

Despite that i would rather him, or any other president over these two. At least Biden has an excuse for his performance, he is an old man. Trump is just a lunatic. All i heard in the debate from him was meaningless word salad suggesting everything connected to him was the best ever.

I only pop into these threads to see if Trump is closer to ending up in jail given what i have read on him in this forum i thought it was a sure thing. Now he is running for president again, go team America, fk yeah !

Only in America and thank fk for that.

If politicians start arranging trumped up charges to be levelled at political opponents then there are wider issues of governance beyond eligibility to run. They did include an emoluments clause which TFG breached in the manner of a vol-au-vent enthusiast making his way through a crowd to a buffet; his various attorney generals did not demur, SCOTUS ended what cases had been raised and as yet Merrick Garland does not appear to be pursuing it either.
