I'm sure he has his good moments, nevertheless that doesn't detract from the noticeable moments he has when he shows age related decline. I think people are thinking if he's like this now what's he going to be like in his second term. I don't think that's an unreasonable question.
I agree, it's not an unreasonable question.

But from what we've seen, (imo), it's a hell of a jump to think he's incapable of doing the job.

He's old. Not incompetent.

Think he'll be good to do two full terms? smile

You can see where the (ridiculous) rumours about there being body doubles come from hehe it's like a different person!
It's to keep the GOP guessing. His stunt double was the one at the debates last night. Too many concussions from his football days before close protection.

You can watch videos from 5 years ago and it's like a different person. It's sad to see really, definite decline, he's really not close to being 100%. I've lost several family members to things like Alzheimer's, Picks disease etc its just awful to see. Like a very slow motion car crash.
Slow motion car crash is apt. That is the reality of ageing in some people. Biden's performance was election losing. As was Trumps. Trump spun it better, so in the eyes of the world Biden looked weak.

Bottom line, USA seems directionless to both allies and enemies. Worrying.

Same as the State of the Union, but I think even here, with prompters, he was more faltering. Maybe it's a new-found confirmation bias, but I worry, as we all should.
You could see in the debate there was times he had some rehearsed lines ready to drop in, some of which were good. He’d get a lot more confident and say them. The problem was there was far too few, he’d often drop them on the wrong point, or he’d instantly switch from saying one and then immediately continue rambling on half a sentence related to something completely different so the original point was lost. A lot of the time he’d have done better if he didn’t try to use the full time.

Will the US be in good hands?
Sure.

Would I think the same of the alternative? Not a hope.

Fair enough. I think he looks likes struggling now, what he'll be like in a couple of years I don't know. Perhaps/probably have to step down. The problem with trump he has no real policies/stance on anything other that what makes him look good. I think that's why some struggle to pin him down on anything. He is wildly unpredictable.

Indeed. Tells you all you need to know about polling.
Hilary was a very disliked person, just as with Biden now, it was bleeding obvious she was the wrong candidate.

But it was her turn was the response.

The Dems need to grow up fast.

The pollsters got it wrong. On analysis it was their failure to adjust their sampling to reflect the education level of the polled because the better educated are more likely to engage with polls - and they favoured Hillary, hence the skewed polling. Trump's less-educated base didn't engage with polls and they turned out to beat Hillary at the 11th hour, with a little help from Comey, of course.

You didn't need polling to know Clinton would fail.

All you needed to have was basic USA political knowledge.

She was not liked by normal everyday people and hadn't been since Bill was president.

Seems like the debate nerves perhaps got to him because his speech tonight was completely a different person. Not even remotely doddery or forgetful.

Wonder if it’s too late though. Will be an interesting few months.
Well, in some respects that's even worse if one has no idea at any given time whether it's the doddery forgetful one or the completely different one given he's er....the president don't you think?

This situation reminds me of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, hung on far too long, refused to step down at the correct time and in not doing so put her own legacy and life's work in the bin.

Admitting Biden is a disaster does not have to mean you support Trump. Just state that fact if you're scared people might think you do.
Stop with the 'cope'...he's a disaster, and an embarrassment for the US and the Dems need to replace him ASAP.

Thing is he's already there and the US isn't crashing to the ground. Is he just a rubber stamp for the Dems? Belgium ran fine with no government at all for almost two years. It's not a great alternative to Trump, but what we've seen of the SC & the last Trump presidency it could be the choice of st democracy or no democracy.

He was the Teresa May adult in the room for the US, but they haven't switched him out and he's going to hemorrhage votes.

I think what you mean to say is, "I apologise to you all for being an insufferable berk over recent weeks for denying Joe has dementia and for bullishly claiming on countless occasions that he would appear "normal" at the debate, and that any suggestion to the contrary is the result of fake videos and conspiracy. I now wholeheartedly accept that Joe does not have the mental capacity to lead the United States, that continuing to do so is an ethical and moral travesty, and that the Democratic party should replace him with Kamala Harris without any further delay

Haha!
You forgot to add he meant to apologise for suggesting others were pushing false narratives while it was him doing that all along!

The doctored videos, falsely presented videos with the narrative of "oh em gee! Clearly unfit" are still just that- a cheap, lazy attempt to portray an old man as unfit.

And 90 minutes of an old mamn with a cold, yet still able to debate and state his policies, doesn't make him unfit either.

Sorry to burst your bubble(s)

On the other hand, the large majority if what trump said last night was outright untruths. Which makes him far more "oh em gee! Clearly unfit"
