Indeed. In fact, it was trump himself who was (deliberately) trying to suggest we'd see a "jacked-up" jb, all due to drugs of course.....

There's been no Denying that biden's old. That doesn't mean he's unfit for the role.

Nor does it "justify" the faked/Edited videos.

Trump is a long, long way from winning. The GOP thinking they have it in the bag at this stage would be a re-run of "the great red wave" of 2022.

The obviously faked parachute videos that nobody on here posted, but were used used to obfuscate the discussion on the video's of Joe freezing..

I think last night makes those supporting the threat of the ban hammer look ridiculous.

ETA Not unfit for the role, what do you actually need to see before you decide differently?

I actually find it hilarious now. After months and months of people like you defending Biden, trying to gaslight everyone by saying he was in tip top condition, when the majority could see he's in severe mental decline and probably struggles to tie his own shoelaces.
Find anything of that nature and quote it; we'll wait.
I don't think anyone said he was in tip top condition directly, but any time people said he was too old etc then they were jumped on, either because it's still the less bad option, or it was "he's totally fine". A bit like some people who aren't Trump fans but who only appear to question Biden. Technically it is true they are commenting on the single issue, but taken as a whole both groups have been very selective in the picture they paint. Some of those questioning the wisdom in having Biden have been accused of being Trump supporters too.

at some point it might become acceptable to criticise Biden without being labelled a Trump supporter

Discussion was about the gop posting of videos, not in here. I don't think floating voters are looking to np&e to make their minds up wink

No idea what your ban hammer comment is supposed to mean. Posting behaviour is what warrants a ban, not it's substance, Shirley?

For fitness fir the role- it's purely down to the ability to make the right decisions for the country, as pertains to the role of the executive branch. That's it. That's all the role requires. The president runs neither the house, the congress or the juducuary. It's a very different "government" structure to the uk.

Well, a couple of people died. But yes I see what you mean. I should have really put “a protest which got out of hand”

Amd if it's shown that the protest was organized by team trump, would that change anything in your mind?

So the accusation of gaslighting is in itself gaslighting? rofl I'm glad we're all singing from the same hymn sheet. It's bullst and it's always been bullst, people got abuse for posting links to nonsense edited videos or whatever because they were nonsense. I have also said he's too old yet amazingly have not been abused for my troubles. Maybe it's people's posting style that's the problem, rather than what they're trying to say?

In what context, were they quoting Twitter 'eccentrics'?

But they weren't nonsense were they? It pains me to bring this up again as it was last weeks topic, but it was prime gaslighting being told that the 10-cut-Biden-megamix was the "real" video and the single shot phone video of Biden frozen up was somehow fake.

It's all moot now anyway, there's no way anyone can call "cheap fake" on the debate last night, and now the dems are starting to publically agree.

Baffled how some on here are referencing JB like he's some kindly old man. Has no one read the diaries his daughter wrote?

Surely there is a way to replace Joe?

What would happen if he snuffed it either of natural causes or in an “accident”? There must be some sort of process.
President Biden is not even the DNC candidate, yet. The DNC convention where their Presidential nominee will be decided is in mid-August. Same on the Republican side. Here is a link to the current status of delegates for the the DNC convention - https://www.usatoday.com/elections/results/2024/de... There are still five primaries left, so it is possible that someone else could throw their hat in the ring and win some delegates. Or if Biden were to voluntarily withdraw, his delegates would be up for grabs. I'm not sure what rules the DNC has in place regarding faithless delegates. And the DNC holds onto about 15% of the vote as "super delegates" to help sway the vote to who the Party wants to win.

A million different things could happen in the next six weeks, but their national convention is when the actual candidate will be formally selected. It could be very interesting.

Where I visit my mum in a care home there are several residents I speak to with some really similar behaviours and mannerisms to those I was seeing last night . They are fortunate enough to be in a care environment. Surely the Biden team have a duty of care to get him to stand down now. As his wife helped him off the stage he looked broken.
He will make Trump win by default not on merit .

Joe Scarborough likes the sound of his own voice, so all TV news is rubbish? Morning Joe isn't really news anyway, it's more or less like UK breakfast TV but more po-faced.
