It's time to face reality. Biden is out. Only question is the date of the announcement and the process for finding a replacement.

And it wasn't about "one poor performance". His team knew he might get brain-freeze in the debate, which is probably why they scheduled the first debate so abnormally early, to allow time to find a replacement for exactly this scenario.

If they genuinely thought he had a fighting chance, they would have taken the idea suggested yesterday by Jake Tapper - Biden's team could have quickly arranged a 2 hour press conference, with Biden and a team of journalists, where Biden could have answered their questions and shown he was fully cogent. That would have killed the story and shown it was just a poor night and was not representative. They ducked that opportunity.

Combine that with the leaks of the internal polling, and the rumours from senior Democrats privately briefing that they want him to step aside, and we know it's over.

The difficulty is choosing the replacement. It could easily get worse for the Democrats from here. I would assume they persuade Harris to step aside by offering her some kind of Supreme Court position. If they stick with Harris out of duty or because it helps them keep donation money raised so far, she will get crushed in November imo. And even alternatives like Gretchen Whitmer or even Newsom, might not make the transition to national politics (rather like Desantis, who just wasn't good enough at that level).

I'll dismantle it further if you like, yes the case is from 2016 but with all criminal cases they don't expire or have a "use by" date, so if new evidence comes to light and the establishment undergoes an unlikely deep clean these allegations could well surface again.

I suspect the Clintons don't want too much of a light shone on this topic either, for reasons.

The death of Epstien did the establishment a huge favour, neither side has him sat in prison and a problem of what to do with him, any trial would have been a bun fight and implicated a lot of people from all sides of the political spectrum and business world, powerful people.

The only person in Prison is Maxwell. That's a fact. Yet no-one she trafficked children/girls/women to has ever been held accountable for their crimes...

I find the Epstein stuff both disgusting and fascinating, due to it crossing the aisle so completely and the fact that it gets memory-holed so often by people who should really be shouting it from the rooftops.

There's a tonne of stuff thats yet to come out but is being blocked due to it (possibly) implicating all sorts of powerful people, and you're right it's a travesty that only Ghislane has been tried and convicted when there was clearly many more people taking an active role in it all.
