Didn't I mention that the pool was 8ft diameter, 1ft deep and inflatable? smile

What does Orbán expect to achieve with his proposed meeting with Putin?
Money
More likely he wants to talk to Putin about what he might need to adjust in order to find some kind of compromise. This meeting follows closely from Orban's meeting with Zelensky earlier this week. That won't be a coincidence imo.
It definitely isn't, I totally agree.

To be honest, even as I despise Orban, I really hope he'll be able to open some doors for talks.

What is going to be said after, is none of his business: I am in the camp that only Ukraine can decide which are the conditions to achieve an end to this war.
Orban is a busy bee. Start of last week he visited Zelensky in Kiev. End of the week he was in Moscow meeting Putin. And over the weekend he has travelled to Beijing for a 'surprise' meeting with President Xi. All very odd....

Orban would probably love to score hungarians according to how loyal to him they are, maybe he will learn about that.

Some limited evidence there may be fuel shortages in russia.

Haven't we been hearing that the Russian losses are unsustainable and there are fuel shortages in Russia for pretty much 2 years now? All we need is for a clip of Putin shaking a bit to prove he has 6 months to live.
Don't get me wrong I hope all of the above is true but it's increasingly hard to believe the good news from a war that's been grinding out for so long.
In fairness i did say there may be fuel shortages smile

I take your point and I'm careful to not to go overboard combining wishful thinking with what is happening.

To take fuel as an example, I'm sure the Ukrainians would like to see people queuing for hours in all the major cities, however I'm sure if they could they would right now.

Those, who someone says we should talk with, are the very ones doing this:

russia needs to be put out of the civil world, they can stay by themselves in their sthole, no one wants them here.

That is horrendous, I think of my own children and grandchildren whenever I see a child suffering and it makes me upset and angry.
Surely the western leaders are seeing this and must now decide enough is enough and do whatever is necessary to push the Russians out of Ukraine.

They bombed a maternity hospital "because nazis" then dismissed footage of it as propaganda filled with crisis actors. This isn't new.

They will try to claim it was an accident, or a stray missile, or it was a Ukrainian missile. But isn't it a bit of a coincidence that whenever a missile goes astray it hits a hospital?

They deliberately target the hospitals in Dnipro because they know that's where a lot of the injured soldiers from the front line get brought to.

Unpleasant and unpalatable as it might be to accept, It's not the first hospital to be bombed in a conflict around the world and it's certainly not going to be the last regardless of any 'red lines' .....

The Russians did not only bomb one hospital today. They hit another in Kyiv and another in Dnipro. These are no accidents.

And in Syria MSF stopped telling the UN the locations of temporary hospitals becaise Russia found out and without fail bombed the hospital the following day.

Whether it's an accident or not is irrelevant. I'm just saying hospitals get bombed and kids get killed in conflicts - it's not exactly a rare thing around the world.
