Just again shows the trumpettes think trump can't win against Biden again

Biden has one poor performance and suddenly they claim Bidens past it, yet his policies have moved the US forward.

Yet trump demonstrates his mental decline at every rally, his complete unsuitability as lotus again, yet somehow that's fine. Hundreds or more of reported incidents captured on camera this year alone.

Then manufactured false claims. I can't remember Biden being accused of raping a 13 year old, having multiple NDAs to keep people quiet, or paying off witnesses, nor making sexual comments about a daughter, repeated comments that his chief of staff had to tell him to stop.

Just shows how scared they are of Biden I guess.

I know and appreciate you don't like Trump, but surely you have to admit that if they don't switch Joe out then there's a very real chance he's going to be the next President.

As much as I loathe Trump and think he should be in prison for inciting\attempting to incite insurrection, even I can admit that the other night was a utter disaster for Biden and Trump came out of it far better.

It pains me to say it, but all Biden is is an electoral asset for Trump. I have no idea what the answer is, but letting Biden continue to run isn't it.

Yes, this is the very best possible outcome for Trump as it stands.

Is the NYT who are now calling for Biden to stand aside one of the 'trumpettes'? Or Morning Joe, who you previously have quoted many times, who seems to be calling for the same thing?

It's the people who are prepared to try and gaslight themselves by suggesting the debate was just "one poor performance" from Biden who are going to let Trump walk into back into the White House.

I’m not surprised that Biden was quite bad in the debate. He’s lost some of his marbles and that’s not too surprising since he’s 81. I’m surprised that Trump did so well to be honest. He wasn’t as good as he was 8 years ago, but compared to his recent performances at his rallies, he was much better.

He lied consistently and simply didn't answer a lot of the questions at all. He just does it confidently. If you read a transcript of what he says, it's surreal.

Biden in a body bag is still more preferable than trump getting into power again.

I'm surprised that the news about hundreds of Jan 6th rioters convictions being ruled as unsafe hasn't been talked about more, I did post about it yesterday but a few more, more mainstream links below.

Hundreds of rioters convicted over January 6 insurrection could be freed (Telegraph)- https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/hundreds-of-r...

Supreme Court limits obstruction charges against January 6 rioters (CNN) - https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/supreme-court-li...

Supreme Court's Jan. 6 ruling expected to ripple through rioters' cases but not necessarily Trump's (NBC) - https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/supreme-courts-j...

The SC ruling itself seems perverse - the legislative language seems pretty clear to me.

Re the Jan 6th rioters, most are charged with other crimes, too, so the impact seems likely to be rather limited.

The wider impact of the SC judgement itself may however not be so attractive.

Maximise your probability of winning, mitigate your risk exposure. It's not rocket science. If he loses it will be the biggest act of political self immolation in history when the writing is very clearly on the wall.

Of course Trump lied consistently, that hasn’t changed at all in 8 years. I meant that Trump was able to string sentences together coherently in the way he talks.

Yeah, that's what I said, he does it confidently. But he avoided the actual questions and just made up lies about how great his presidency was.

Take this answer to a question about whether he’d take any action to combat the climate crisis if reelected in November.

“I want absolutely immaculate clean water and I want absolutely immaculate clean air. And we had it. We had H2O,” he said. “We had the best numbers ever and we were using all forms of energy, all forms, everything.”

It was glibly delivered as normal for sure, but listen to it closely and a lot of it is garbled nonsense mixed in with the usual lies he tells.

Well after all he had talked to his top environment people immediately before he came on stage.

And yet with all of the lies and word salad, Trump overwhelmingly defeated Biden and won the debate if we go by the percentages (CNN polled 67% for Trump winning the debate) so it doesn’t really matter what us in here say, the majority believe he won.

This is bad news for the Democrats, they need to change things up or they will be defeated in November, there is another debate scheduled in September and they can’t have a repeat of Thursday night.

Biden’s performance made trump’s, by any measure, disastrous performance look good.

trump offering nothing but word salads with an overdressing of bullst, and a meandering stream of consciousness. His total inability to answer any question directly and coherently was clear for all to see, but unbelievably, was completely overshadowed by Joe’s even worse performance.

It’s become a vote for the (much) lesser of two evils, and the overwhelmingly clear answer to that question remains unchanged.

The thing is that 67% believing Trump won, does not translate to them voting for him necessarily. I believe Manchester City won the Premier League but I still don’t support them. I’m fine to accept Trump did better than Biden on Thursday. Trump remains an utter disgrace and I would never support him ever.
