Nope. Your point?

The reading and ratification of the electoral college (Jan 6th or whatever day it falls on) is a matter of procedure but it is formal. Putting up an objection is fair and reasonable and both parties have done it for years. I would suggest that some of the objections do have some merit (NC for example does have a pretty bad record on voter suppression for example), but unless there is a specific and definitive reason, the objections are overruled.

Biden did his job in 2017 and Pence did his job in 2021. What we see is a view into the unnecessary steps that the US government needs to go through to get things done. If it were up to me, I would streamline the lot, but it isnt and I cant.
Point is they are hypocritical (Both sides by the way) in the way they scream about election fraud one year and next making a big song and dance about it when the other side do the same. Its a joke.

Didnt someone recently (Easily) hack an election machine in court to make a point?

A woman and a person of colour? Steady on chap! The southern cross flag is still a talking point in many places....

I don't think AOC would get the votes. She's more suited to a Pelosi type role, i think.

Harris would need to step up her game. Might have an opportunity if biden wins this year, be president without a vote wink

Not familiar enough with Whitmer.

For the ladies, despite everything Hilary did get a huge vote, all things considered. So a female president isn't out of the question.

Gay president? Not sure the US is quite ready to vote one in just yet.

Any dems considering running in 2028 need to be out in support of biden this year, and if biden wins they need to be a prominent figure getting things done over the next three years. Trumpism won't be a thing in 2028, no matter what happens.

M.
First off my good sir, as an Australian I take exception to the Confederate flag being referred to as the "southern cross". biggrin

I believe it's the "stars and bars".

But I agree a fresh face as the VP would help. I don't dislike Harris and dont get the hate (although I think we all know why they hate her) but the Dems would be better off with someone else, someone who might be a good prez in 2028 like Newsom Mayor Pete or Beto.
Hence why I was asking about a gay president, Buttigieg keeps popping up as some peoples choice.

I don't think Biden is fit to be president but I'd take him over Insurrection Trump any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Not exactly a high water mark.
Yup.

An Obama mk2 would be great, but given what likely will be the choice… old man Biden over the man who is so bogged down with court cases he’s aging in dog years.

Half expect him not to make it to Election Day.
Big Mike will swoop in to save the day hehe

You saw how they collected the GOP primary votes didnt you? scribble bits of paper dropped into a paper bag - from the party screaming voter fraud
And remember it's almost all been GOP found to have committed fraud in the last two elections...

and you can't both sides this - it's just GOP, trump, Lake and others , been screaming voter fraud without evidence.

I've noticed byker bringing up trumps mental decline/dementia etc, but they defend biden to the hilt even when he's trying to shake nobody's hand on the stage and has to be led off by his doctor/wife hehe
Biden has fluffed a number of things and thats bad. However, it wasnt Biden who brought up the issue of mental decline though. It was Trump and his 'crew' that kicked this all off. They took pot shots at Biden and, in some cases quite rightly, have indicated that there are some issues.

However, Trump is flubbing stuff now and rambles on about random stuff. So its not a case of ignoring this, but a case of countering / responding and the whole projection issue.

I don't even like trump (this will be jumped on as usual...) But I don't like biden either and at least when trump was in charge we weren't nearly in WW3!
Unfortunately, this is a 1 or a 0 situation. There are no other alternatives currently and baring a massive change, it looks like we are stuck with the both of them. I guess you have another option to scribble crap on your ballot, but unfortunately if you are anti-Biden, that somewhat leaves only one person to support (even if its grudgingly).

And can you expand on the WW3 part? Pretty sure we were no where near that and if this is to do with Ukraine, thats Russian propaganda. They would never use nukes and last time I checked, there are no NATO or US troops in Ukraine. China hasnt invaded Taiwan and Israel / Gaza doesnt have international involvement.
Nope, they were all over trump about his mental decline when he was president. Covfefe...

Regarding WW3, the UK just recently mentioned conscriptions if it comes to it, many other countries such as Sweden and Germany are warning the population must prepare for war etc etc
General Sir Patrick Sanders (UK) suggests "if we go to war with Russia, we could find that our youth may have to be conscripted."

Israel has just said Iran is a legitimate target for missile strikes, that will go down well...

China - Who knows what will happen there.

Actually, it's worse than just being arrested. He's been indicted. Multiple times, multiple jurisdictions, multiple charges.

I mean, if he'd been arrested but not charged, you'd have a point....

But it's gone past the "arrested" stage. It's been in the news quite a bit.....

Probably worded it wrong using collusion, but this was what I had read:

"The Mueller investigation resulted in roughly three dozen criminal charges, including convictions of a half-dozen Trump associates, and concluded that Russia intervened on the Trump campaign’s behalf and that the campaign welcomed the help. But Mueller’s team did not find that they actually conspired to sway the election"

I realise there was a lot of stuff going on between them, though admit I haven't followed it all

He might as well speculate about a potential war with the Martians, it would be about as likely; it's cheesy clickbait. Israel has a long history of blowing up nuclear facilities in countries threatening to wipe it out and has attacked Iran in covert ways many times. China is not about to do anything.

Perhaps you should read the muller report itself then, instead of Barr's whitewash summary.

Mike Pompeo is a fat lad, Mike Pence is not big in any obvious respect except maybe religious belief. Neither appear very swoopy. I've run out of Mikes.

He appointed Barr as his AG. wink

When the first 91 charges are done with, more might be added.
