The irony that the Tories are treating this as a minor victory as the polling was so bad.

Meanwhile the SNP are dying in the corner.
Which Tories have said that cleatrly I have been taking the p as was the guy I quoted but if they are saying that on TV they are idiots

Which conveniently brings me onto something I was going to post
Politico's being honest. One thing that struck me in 2019 was John McDonnells honesty when the exit poll was revealed saying it looked very bad for Labour. He did add something like but the real results have yet to come but he knew it was bad and didn't brush it away.

An MP we have had dealings with has likewise been honest with his friends and has said I wont be the MP on Friday.

I remember the last Labour landslide. There was a real buzz in the air back then. It felt like a peaceful revolution and the hope was tangible.

This time it does not feel like that at all! It's more like 'whatever, get it over with'.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

Yup. Just want a couple of validation results then I’m off to bed.

A generational change this is not.

Just watching a very sensible bit of a reflection from Robert Buckland on the exit poll. I don’t know much about him, but fair play being the only Tory willing to front up on camera and answer some questions. Sounds like he’s lost his seat too!

ETA. - AnonymousUser has made a similar point above. A bit of honesty without any feeble attempt at spinning it is quite refreshing.

Astonishingly yes
This BBC thing isn't great so far
The colour scheme and split screen presentation isn't that good its considerably different to the 2019 version
ITV's looks the better
Sky's looks better
I think the joint side by side presenters on BBC doesn't gell too well
At least though the BBC haven't wasted Emily Maitlis' up on a gantry endlessly pressing ujttons to show swings in certain constituences and the like. She was wasted doing that

I'm watching the Ch4 coverage and they are talking like the exit polls are pretty accurate and reliable.

Is this the case? Might Reform voters choose to lie about their voting at the exit poles?

Politicians miraculously become honest and capable of self reflection the very moment they are no longer an MP.

Delicious
They'll need a bloody big campervan to cart all the bodies away. Luckily for the SNP......
Don't think the Police have returned it to them yet.

Allegedly Sturgeon is only doing ITV so she can buy a second hand one with her appearance money.

I think the exit polls are based on secret ballots, but not sure how they are picking up postal votes.

Channel 4 kereps gpoing to a good looking asian looking woman who is way too near to the camera and a woman wearing oversized comedy type spectacles. It's now interviewing random voters in a studio that looks like its based around a lava lamp design background

Sky news coverage is ok. Ruth Davison is on their panel.
