I wonder how much money labour would’ve wasted if they’d been in charge? More? Less?

No way of answering it really but I am curious.

I wonder what happened to the 100 million Covid jabs Boris secured just as the 'pandemic' was coming to an end? I bet that wasn't cheap, and no doubt never got used either?

Well, at every stage their complaint was what the government was doing 'isn't enough', whether that be PPE, financial support, etc. so on that basis it's easy to conclude they'd have spent a noticeable amount more.

They are still giving jabs, and 100m is less than 2 per person in the UK.

I guess you don't believe there was a pandemic though?

I would guess similar amounts, may be a little more. Their stance was that everything the government was doing they would have done earlier, faster, bigger, better.

In reality they would have had the same challenges that every government had trying to secure PPE, and the same knowledge (or lack of) as to how the pandemic would spread, mutate, and burn out.

The supplier is suggesting much of the PPE is having to be disposed of do to incorrect storage (in shipping containers):

I think this comment sums up the mis-management / lack of organisation (and panic?) around procurement of PPE during the pandemic:
"But information obtained under the Freedom of Information Act from the government's PPE procurement partner Supply Chain Co-ordination Ltd (SCCL), shows that 85% of the two billion items provided will never be used in care settings."
