The pillock is the person playing loud music at an official statement that's part of the democratic process.
Show some basic respect.
Not a fan of freedom of speech and expression then?

"Soggy PM announces election on a soggy day" - the headlines write themselves.
well it's an oddly accurate parable for the UK today I suppose so...... in it's own way that was unusually well chosen by Sunak....

Because freedom.

Someone will do similar to Kier, can't imagine what the song will be though.
I hope not. Trying to drown out the PM (or LOTO) because you didn't/don't vote for them is in poor taste IMO. Respect the office if not the man.

What a stupid idea to announce this outside? Complete joke.
Especially when they spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on a media room just for press conferences.
His advisors must really hate him.

A new dawn has broken, has it not?

I switched off during the loud music. Trying to be heard over the load music in the rain just made him look weak. Not a great start. It should have been held inside where they could control it.

Right.

Who’s going to get a poll going?

Whoever does it, keep it simple. Just list the parties. Don’t start getting all creative of what you did before and how your vote has changed or summat.

Respect is earned, he’s presided over the most corrupt, morally in-ept . Self serving government in recent times.

The music should have been louder.

Getting the election in whilst the country is riding a wave of Euro 2024 euphoria and the day before England are knocked out in the quarter finals?

That announcement just about sums up the current government. A sad and dismal wet PM, being drowned out by a man with a stereo playing DREAM.

FFS - they don't even have the wit or common sense to give him a fking umbrella.

Quite. But just because they shouldn't, doesn't mean they can't. See also: chavs, s, local reporters, etc.

I thought it was hilarious tbf. Blair’s 97 anthem.

This is the biggest issue, all of the parties are st. Labour aren't going to suddenly find a massive pot of cash to spend, so what's going to change.

All that will happen is Labour will get in, come up with some ideas that are the same as always and Tories will jeer at them like school kids whilst saying the opposite will be better for the country.

No they can’t.

That’s the point. This isn’t like the 1997 election, where rightly or wrongly people looked at Blair and thought “This time it might be different, this time things might change,”

We are going into this with two parties who are basically exactly the same and are unable to face up to the real issues that are confronting real people.

Things aren’t going to go anywhere with these two parties sticking their heads in the sand.

To move forward, this country needs massive change. Politically, culturally, financially and morally and no one is prepared to anything except rearrange the deck chairs as the iceberg scrapes along the side.
