Sci-fi flick, from the last decade I think.

A company sells tours to the mega rich that go back in time. Company is based in NYC.

Tour goes back to early life on Earth, no-one is supposed to veer from the planned path, but someone inevitably does.

After they return, strange changes occur in the current time, jungle vegetation spreads over NYC and a number of carnivorous predators have become the dominant species, man has become prey.

Hero has to work out what went wrong and when.

Hero works out that the person that strayed, has stood on and killed a butterfly.

Hero has one shot to travel back in time to fix the problems.

Any clues?

It's based on a Robert A Heinlein book but can't remember at the moment - I'm on the case. (As I'm bored!)

Beat me to it - but I can't find a film version? And it is Ray Bradbury

Lower your expectations on the special effects, and the film isn't too bad.
i.e. plenty of walking on a treadmill in front of a green screen, although nowhere near as bad as Pulse 2 and Pulse 3.

I didn't even know Pulse (the US remake of the jap flick) spawned two sequels! They must be bad! lol
