Not seen it yet but planning to regardless of any reviews.

I loved the original when it came out probably because I was the target demographic.

This one looks like it has the same feel and vibe to the original so I have high hopes for it particularly as it is by the original writer and director.

Apparently, this is the first of a new trilogy: http://www.firstshowing.net/2009/wes-craven-confir...

scream 1 and 2 were pretty good. 3 was flogging a dead horse, but i will still go see 4. it has all the appeal the first one did. regardless of reviews i will still go see it. i usually take most reviews with a pinch of salt anyway.

Saw it yesterday, wasn't too bad. Lots of blood, guts, stabbing and slashing stuff. Some pretty funny death scenes also.
The twist at the end was quite good.

Personally, i think it was so unbelievable that it was good. I think the previous ones were more of a "WTF!?" film than anything, and this one is more of the same. Not scary, but funny for some of the right reasons, and all of the wrong ones.

A lot funnier than scary or gory but entertaining never the less. I've never laughed so much at someone getting stabbed in the head.

The bit at the end when they reveal that the killer is one of the characters that died in the first film and then play it all off as a 'dream' was a step too far for me. hehe

Other than that.. it had all the favourites (character wise) a 'dumb blonde with big tits', much slashing with knives and some funnyish moments. If you liked the other 6 Stab films 3 Scream films you'll also like this one.

If I was being critical, the 'change' (new 'rules') seemed to be rushed in at the end and not really used properly, almost as if the writters got bored and wanted to go to lunch.

Either you're trying to wind people up by telling them a fake ending, or we saw different films, because i do not remember that!

Also, as a general not to everyone, remember people on here haven't watched it yet.

It's a play on the 7 'Stab' films mentioned in the film.. and no, it bears no real relevance to the 'plot' of Scream 4 so no-one need be worried.

And the spoiler comment wasn't aimed at you, but your comment just reminded me that some people could possibly say too much. smile
