I used to love this and think I still would. I'd love to see it return to our screens.

That is all.

I doubt it would be a patch on the original. Miss Piggy would be diabetic and self-reliant on insulin. Gonzo the Great would've had rhinoplasty. Animal is on Prozac and has had anger management therapy. Beaker has been diagnosed as a sociopath "Me-me-me!"

I'm a huge Muppets fan and my 1yr will know all about them when he's old enough smile I do have three small framed pictures in his room of Muppet characters that my Mum did for his room.

I also had Muppet characters instead of numbers on my wedding tables.

I wrecked an engine for this show.

Finished work at 5pm (Saturday) in Stanmore, did the 15 miles home (St.Albans) in 15 mins (Mini 1275GT) to catch The Muppet Show which started at 5:15.

These flat-out blasts up the M1 played a large part in the car's ever increasing oil consumption and smoke.

Fozzie was my favourite biglaugh

We had years of the Muppets - of course, they called themselves the Govt at the time.

But I am pleased they got cancelled....

Good news for all Muppet fans. New movie due around Christmas time which has been written and directed by the guys from Flight Of The Concords. Should be fun.

I have been likened to either Statler or Waldorf.
Love the Muppets, love Jim Henson's creature workshop. The Muppets revival in the 90s wasn't so great, but the 70s originals are classics. I still think the Muppet Christmas Carol is perhaps the best screen version of that story.
They have such a large locker of goodies. The older shows were really archaic and stars fell over themselves to be in them. They wouldn't have been if Lew Grade hadn't given them a chance when the yank stations turned the idea down...crazy babybiggrin

didn't they attempt a revival a few years back with a new dreadlocked character as host? it bombed iirc.
