I watched it too and enjoyed it for the most part. What a fantastic setting if nothing else!

What I disliked was I felt that motives and logic throughout were pretty poorly defined. However I missed a minute or two at the start so it could be that this was covered then but otherwise:

What was so bad about the Monster? I appreciate that its creation in the first place was ethically objectionable to the scientific community (or something to that effect), but ignoring its "birth", I didn't really see a problem - especially from Frankenstein's point of view. Yes, it killed the little boy, but he didn't know that until the end anyway! It seemed from the lack of explanation that he must have just turfed it out onto the street after bringing it to life. If it's that bad, why not put it down, like he did for the Monster's companion? If you can't bring yourself to do it, why not send it somewhere it can be helped rather than just chucking it out on its arse? If you were panicking at the time and not thinking clearly, then why not help it when it came back to the lab. If you don't want to make it a wife as it was demanding, at least perhaps take it to a homeless shelter/mental asylum/care home or something to that effect where it can be cared for (rather than turfing it back out on the street, again, because that went so well last time). If you're going to do as it asked and make it a wife, and actually go through the apparent months of effort to make said wife, WHY would you bloody well kill it before giving it to the Monster? The bloody thing was threatening to destroy your life, appears perfectly capable of doing so and has nothing to lose or fear. Why not just give it the wife, hide them away somewhere safe, then fly them off somewhere in a chartered plane the next day and let them live their lives? The only reasoning given not to just leave the fking Monster be, was that it might kill someone - so why not educate it about not killing people. Or send it somewhere that can look after it, or where there is nobody to kill!

Sorry for the rant - those endless plot holes killed it for me really. I couldn't really let myself be absorbed by it when nothing that Frankenstein was doing seemed to make any sense to me. I will happily retract my comments if it turned out something happened in the first two minutes to explain all the above, though!

edit: I would like to add that I am aware that the story was based on Frankenstein's Monster the book!

edit 2: Having flicked through a plot summary of the original book, a good deal more of it makes sense, however I still feel that these issues could have done with being directly addressed in the show.
