I can not believe that my mate (aged 29) has never seen Jaws. This got me thinking, and there are quite a few 'classic' films I've never seen (no doubt many more too):

Godfather (trilogy)
Bladerunner
Schindler's List

Anyone else have a guilty list of unseen films?

can't think of any at the moment because being old I made an effort in the past to see most of the must see films but you really need to do yourself a favour and watch bladerunner.

(im in a small minority that thinks the godfather films whilst very, very good are a little over rated and not easy watching)

As the list populates it may jog my memory do you mean watched all of it because I turned off quite a few classics in my time smile

Casablanca is worth watching. Gone with the Wind should have been the name for a fart. Don't remember Cuckoo's Nest that well, though I'm sure I've sat through it.

I don't miss the Godfather movies; I generally dislike glorifying portayals of them, they don't deserve it.

I should try again with Doctor Zhivago, but it is a bit like reading Dickens.

I tend to avoid all the big hyped movies - apart from Wizard of Oz they are all crushingly disappointing
Oddly , half way thru most movies i thought unseen i recall seeing them over several years in small 30 minute chunks

The Star Wars films, all of them.

I've seen the Family Guy version and I've got the jist of it from that.

Quite a few...

Usual Suspects
Godfathe Trilogy
The Exorcist
The Shining
Plus many more that I can't think of right now.
Don't really know why I've never gotten round to seeing them.... Maybe one day.

Oooo Brief Encounter...My guilty secret.

I love that film. It couldn't be more British if it stood up and sang God Save the Queen at the end smile

Or to be historically accurate (for the period), God Save the King.

Pyscho. Even though I have the Alfred Hitchcock collection, I've not got round to watching it yet.

Schindler's List is one, I've seen parts of it, it was very good but I didn't enjoy it.

To be frank I find the news depressing enough so I tend to steer clear off heartfelt sad films.

Haven’t seen Casablanca ether, not my cup of tea.

I have seen Citizen Cain and I thought I was crap. Like the way that Bullit will always top the list of "100 greatest Car Chases" TV shows they have on at Christmas is will usually top the "Greatest Films Ever" list and I have always suspected it's because it sounds like the right answer rather than a film that lots of people have actually seen and enjoyed.

Whilst I'm ranting, Bullit Car Chases - Not the best ever, not even top 5 IMHO - yeah, I said it wink

Those of you that haven't seen the original Star Wars films, take the time to do so, OK they could never live up to the hype that those of use who saw them as children bestow on them, but they really are very very good fun films. Doesn't really matter which format you see (they've been 'updated' a few times over the years)
