I can't help thinking that "Bertram Thumbcat" is trying to be the next Alexander Meerkat.

In a world or adverts which revert to simply annoying so as to get their point across, this advert is a breath of fresh air.

However I fear someone at the ad agency has been watching too much Ediie Izzard who stimpulated years ago that we'd be fked as a species if cats had opposable thumbs.

However I do love the cat who peeps over the window sill...

Makes me smile

Our neighbour's cat has 6 toes on each paw. One one it looks like half a paw has just been glued on but on the remainder the extra toes line up very neatly

Let's hope not, as I quite enjoy Cravendale milk.

It may not be so far from the truth.

For example, a common variation with six toes on the front paws, with two opposing digits on each (comparable in use to human thumbs), enables the cat to learn and perform feats of manual dexterity generally not observed in non-polydactyl cats, such as opening latches or catching objects with a single paw.
