fantastic, love this show. I hope they have a bigger budget and do some really good cars- Chimera, 911, maybe even DB7, Maserati, 80s Merc etc

And should we have a sweepstake on how many track rod ends Ed changes? he seems to so them on every car! hehe

On one show they will be doing a merc that is uk registered but in another country, France I think, they get it back to find it needs a new common rail high pressure pump.

Only reason I know is because they came to my work(euro car parts) to buy the part, mike was due to film in our shop but they changed plan to go and film at the main warehouse in tamworth.

What a good idea.

I know its nice of them to rescue old cars from the scrap yard (and thats how I view it).

But it would be different for them to do a series where EVERYTHING is taken into account and then see if a profit is made at the end.

I watched that the other day, it was quite interesting. I was pretty horrified when he ripped the Blaupunkt cassette out though. Thought the idea was to keep it original?!!

Excellent. Queue loads of shouting from Mike about blowing the budget.

Yes, I thought replacing the stereo was a rather strange thing to do too, and the replacement looked awful, it didn't suit the car at all. A waste of £200.

LOL. Cue him going "Nah I know its five hundred quid mate, but, can I give ya 200 cash?" Or the best, when they had the 928 with the gold rims that the tyre seller just happened to be after so they could swap.

In a way, if I had been purchasing or looking for a Cossie Merc, that would probably have stopped me buying it. And yes, you can get retro style new units can't you? I'm sure I saw some somewhere, either by Blaupunkt or Becker or something. I hate those flip front ones anyway, didn't they put them in Evo's for a while?

That for me is still one of the more memorable moments from WD. Mike proving that he knows FFFF all about the majority of cars he buys. Those BBS RS wheels were worth more than the rest of the car and were certainly a huge plus point come resale time but no, mike put it back to standard by putting winter wheels on it.

Then on other occassions he gets totally mugged off paying well over the odds for parts that are only marginally less worn out than those he has or not that hard to come by.

Still find it a interesting program but only because of Ed, the rest of the time i'm sat there thinking FFS mike just shut up an lets hear more from Ed

yes Edd is the star of the show no doubt. I feel sorry for Paul as well, because he's right at the bottom of the wheeler dealers food chain. He never even gets to say anything hehe
