Look chaps, I know it's a real pain to have to drag ourselves away from repeated viewings of our boxsets of The Wire and The Sopranos, but occasionally we have to let our other halves select a film of their choosing.

If you are faced with this predicament, may I recommend the female-friendly film Tamara Drewe. It has a decent plot, some good performances, some amusing scenes, an attractive lady, and an air-cooled 911.

On the other hand, please try and avoid Eat Pray Love at all costs. Ghastly.

Or Eat Pray Love and Throw Up as Mark Kermode referred to it.

I'll admit to seeing it! Saw it in the cinema (was my companion's choice) and I was expecting a forgettable rom-com and instead it was an enjoyable quirky comedy with some decent eye candy.

I believe that if you visited a site which starts with the letter 'I' and rhymes with 'punt' you may find it...

Its definatly a watch with the missus movie, but even the gung ho 'me man, me beat my chest' types here on PH might just find it mildly amusing.
