Yes - first time I had ever heard of her was when I watched an episode of her new series after Frankie Boyle... I found her show far more entertaining.

I know I'll get slated for it, but I think it's very funny. The Fern Cotton sketch is brillant and the Gilbert show cracks me up too.

Very disapointed....

The Gilbert character is the funniest thing I have seen on TV in recent memory. I still get tears in my eyes even when watching it for the second or third time.

The funeral parlour couple are good too, can't say I care much for the other characters though. Boris Johnson boy and X-factor ladies get fast forwarded.

It is pretty funny, but I can't help but think that it isn't too politically correct either - a well observed take on a kid with learning disabilities (hands down trousers etc!)

I didn't really enjoy the first episode, but gave the rest of them a go and found myself really enjoying it! Don't like the Boris sketches, but Gilbert is fantastically cringeworthy, and Fearne is ridiculously accurate.

Most good comedy isn't PC unless you are on the receiving end of the jokes and mick-taking. Where are your hands??. wink

I wouldn't say "Gilbert" suffers from learning disabilities. He certainly seems to be all there, just socially inept and very clumsy. I knew kids like him when I was growing up (may be part of the reason I find it so amusing) and academically they made it through school just fine.

Trailer trash family is well played, but not as funny as some other characters. I am quickly tiring of "Fearne Cotton".

It's absolute ste. Can't believe it got commissioned.

I think the only reason it did is because of the huge amount of money channel 4 have said they're going to be dedicating to new alternative comedy.

Too much money, not enough talent.

rofl Gilbert isn't "special", he's a Nan-kid.

In my opinion, Gilbert is the best sketch character for years. Utterly brilliant.

"No Nanna!"

"It's The Gilbert Show...a TV show...for the TV."

"Grandad, I need to delete a bit."

"Ooooh, Julie"
