This might help a few lurking other-halves with their Christmas shopping wink What are everyone's favourite car DVDs? Here are mine:

Martin Brundle's Supercars - Brundle really knows what he's talking about, and can put his point across really well. No shouts of "power power power!", just a great look at a very large list of fantastic supercars (Mclaren F1, Zonda, TVR 440R etc).

Passion for Speed - Ferrari Enzo (Mark Hales and Nick Mason). I picked this up a few days ago and it's fantastic, if you're a true car enthusiast that is. The word "insight" is often over-used, but this really is a fantastically detailed insight into the Enzo, rather than a shiny Top Gear style production for the masses, or another corporately sponsored look around the factory. The video is an in-depth look at the car, inside and out and, by and large, how it drives. For an hour and a half you get the full run down on how the car drives, what traits it has, in two track sessions (firstly road, and then track tyres) and a public road session as well. The interviews are informative and relaxed, rather than corporate (with Mark and Nick), so it's more like you're talking to them about what the car's like. Great smile My only gripe is that all the facts and figures are in old money and I haven't got a clue what 1700lbs of downforce is hehe I think that's about the mass of an Elise though?! biggrin

In car 956 - Derek Bell. In car footage with Derek Bell around the world's greatest circuits from the earlu 80s Group C legend, the 956. A must smile

Any others?

+1 on in car 956. I think I might put that on again in a minute. wink I have the Brundle one too.

The Enzo DVD sounds really good, I like it when really competant drivers test a quick car, it's much more interesting to hear about the subtleties than for them to just constantly exclaim how fast it is.

One of my favourite DVDs is by Motorfilms, their quarterly volume 5 has some onboard footage of Clark in the Lotus 25 at Oulton.

Agreed - wasn't to sure about the flying in number 2 but its better than the snow machine in 3 and the complete lack (imo) of driving in 4

Ronin is now available on Blu Ray, and it's worth it for the 406 vs E39 and Xantia Activa vs S8 smile
